Are You Ready for College Level Math

When you begin the program you will be given an initial assessment. This is not a test and will not in any way be used to determine your grade. The assessment will determine your strengths and weaknesses.

You will be given a chance to work on any weaknesses before you begin class.

It is very important you take the assessment seriously and give it your best effort so the assessment truly reflects your level of knowledge and math preparedness.

Be honest about your skill level

There is no benefit to cheating on the assessment. Your only reward will be that you are registered for a math class that is too difficult for your current level of mathematical knowledge. This may result in a failing grade, lost time and money.

While taking the assessment, do not consult any other source for help including but not limited to friends, family, notes, textbooks and Internet searchers.

ALEKS will provide an online calculator for problems requiring a calculator. Do not use any other calculator while taking the assessment.

Improve Your Score

You will have the opportunity to retake your assessment, up to five times, in the event you are not happy with your score. Learn more about improving your score.
