UPPER SAUCON TWP., Pa. - The Lehigh County coroner has identified the woman who died after her vehicle was swept away by floodwaters near Coopersburg.
Yesenia Then, 44, of Allentown, was pronounced dead around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, the coroner said.
She had been driving when her vehicle entered high water in the 6300 block of North Main Street in Upper Saucon Township. The vehicle was swept downstream by floodwaters from the typically tiny trout stream known as Laurel Run.
An autopsy is set for Thursday to determine her cause of death.
Tropical Storm Isaias pounded the region with rain and wind Tuesday, causing flash flooding and damage around the area.
