WLS automated high-speed labelers are used throughout the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries to label most shapes of plastic or glass bottles with front & back or wraparound labels. These bottles typically hold solid dose tablets / capsules (pills), or liquid medicines and can be oriented prior to label application. The labels can be serialized and inspected prior to application. Ensuring strict safety standards are met while maintaining production rates is a priority at Weiler. Whether applying front & back labels, wraparound labels or pharmaceutical outserts, the labeling machines available feature high speeds, quick changeover, versatility, and much more. The RL rotary labeler is designed for the application of a film or paper pressure sensitive label to bottles at speeds up to 400ppm. The RL-420 combines a robust modular platform with air-actuated top hold, and camp-activated or motor-driven product rotation. Features on the RL include fast changeovers, ease of operation, and HMI-based recipe controls.
This machine is designed to be configured with a variety of options such as single or redundant label heads, label coding, and inspection including serialized codes, precise container orientation, sidesert or topsert placement, integrated feeding systems, and more. Featuring an enhanced-zero-access guarding package and meeting the most stringent safety standards, this machine can be used for a wide range of product shapes and sizes.
Using a WLS patented technology, the RL can remove, count, and rewind rejected labels prior to their application onto a container. Another rotary labeler used for bottle labeling applications (solid dose tablets, pill bottles, liquids or non-pharmaceutical) is the RL-760. This labeler offers all of the same features as the RL-420 on a larger diameter platform allowing for larger bottles and/or higher output speeds up to 800ppm. For round plastic or glass bottles with wraparound labels or outserts, Weiler offers the VR-72. Working at speeds up to 900ppm, this machine is designed for the application of a film or paper pressure sensitive label onto round containers. This in-line labeler combines a modular platform with a breakthrough vertical roller track design that references the container sidewall for consistent and precise label application combined with continuous web dispensing via vacuum drum label application.
