Thousands Pledge To Boycott The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

There are calls to boycott the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show this year over a lack of diversity on the runway.
Nearly 10,000 people have signed a petition saying they won’t watch because the event doesn’t celebrate women of all shapes and sizes.
The show was recorded earlier this month in New York City but won’t air on TV until early December.

Just last week, a top executive at the company had to apologize for saying there was ‘no interest’ in featuring plus-size or transgender models.
He claimed they don’t represent the ‘fantasy’ that Victoria’s Secret is trying to sell.
The backlash to his comments was swift, with notable LGBTQ figures, plus-size celebs, and transgender models voicing their disappointment on social media.

The editor-in-chief of “Out Magazine’ didn’t hold back, tweeting: ‘We, as an industry, must stop honoring this arcane pageantry and demand that they change. The fact that this show exists, the way it does in 2018, is absurd.’
