Outpatient Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist
 
The Robert E. Larner, MD, College of Medicine at the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Health Network (UVMHN) are seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level to join an enthusiastic team of professionals providing outpatient child, adolescent and adult psychiatry services at Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC), one of the affiliate hospitals of the UVMHN.
 
Located in the heart of the Green Mountain state, CVMC has a reputation for clinical excellence, with a staff deeply rooted in our community. We have attracted and retained a talented staff due to our focus on lifestyle and professional growth.  CVMC has 27 outpatient practices, and 47 medical specialties are represented by the medical staff.  The primary practice location is an outpatient family psychiatry group. Additionally, at CVMC, there is ongoing collaboration with the UVMHN to further integrate psychiatry services and resources into the primary care offices.  CVMC is located 40 minutes from Burlington, 3 hours from Boston, 2 hours from Montreal.
 
Applicants must have a medical degree and be board certified (preferably) or board eligible in psychiatry. Formal training in child and adolescent psychiatry and consultation-liaison psychiatry or suitable experience is very desirable. The University of Vermont Health Network is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the medical and academic community. The selected candidate will demonstrate the training and expertise to provide direct patient care, collaborate with other professional disciplines, and work with referring providers. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for supervision and teaching of medical students, and other staff. An appreciation of the importance of and satisfaction from performing these critical functions and an ability to work collaboratively are essential.
