Bloomberg’s 20,000 staff around the world have been told that from tomorrow they can claim as much as $75 (£55) a day to cover the travel costs of returning to their office.
The offer will include the 4,000 London-based staff of the global media business who journey to their award-winning, £1.3bn European headquarters, designed by Foster + Partners, in the City.
Staff were told on Friday that the offer was part of an attempt to address health and safety fears associated with working in offices, which have been deserted since the Covid-19 crisis forced governments to advise people to work from home.
