At Tri Counties Bank, our mission is to improve the financial success and well-being of the people we serve throughout Northern and Central California. One way we fulfill this mission is through our investment in community-minded and intellectually-gifted students.
In partnership with the Community Foundation of the North State, Tri Counties Bank awards scholarships totaling $110,000 to students attending community colleges, trade schools, and four year colleges/universities.
Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors — especially, though not exclusively, to those who are economically disadvantaged — who demonstrate interest in public service, community engagement and business entrepreneurship.
Tri Counties Bank offers two types of scholarships:
- Income Based — Sixty (60) $1,500 scholarships are awarded to students with a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 0 or less, and a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Merit Based — Twenty (20) $1,000 scholarships are offered to students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
We encourage applications from talented college-bound high school seniors in the Bank’s 27-county footprint - which includes much of the Central, Bay Area, and Northern regions of California.
The application period for the 2024 cycle is now closed.
Recipients of the Tri Counties Bank scholarship program will be contacted via email by the Community Foundation of the North State.
The application period for the 2025 cycle will open on November 1, 2024.
