- Install the Syncfusion.Pdf.WinForms NuGet package as reference to your .NET Framework application from NuGet.org.
- Include the following namespace in the Program.cs file.
C#

VB.NET
Imports Syncfusion.Pdf Imports Syncfusion.Pdf.Parsing
- Use the following code snippet to change the PDF version.
C#
//Load the PDF document PdfLoadedDocument document = new PdfLoadedDocument("Input.pdf"); //Set the incremental update to false document.FileStructure.IncrementalUpdate = false; //Set the PDF version document.FileStructure.Version = PdfVersion.Version1_7; //Save the document document.Save("PDFVersion.pdf"); //Close the PDF document document.Close(true); //This will open the PDF file so, the result will be seen in default PDF viewer Process.Start("PDFVersion.pdf");
VB.NET
'Load the PDF document Dim document As New PdfLoadedDocument("Input.pdf") 'Set the incremental update to false document.FileStructure.IncrementalUpdate = False 'Set the PDF version document.FileStructure.Version = PdfVersion.Version1_7 'Save the document document.Save("PDFVersion.pdf") 'Close the PDF document document.Close(True) 'This will open the PDF file so, the result will be seen in default PDF viewer Process.Start("PDFVersion.pdf")
