From the Nest...
On behalf of our staff, we’d like to share a heartfelt thank you for the amazing Teacher Appreciation Week last week. We all felt like rock stars with the treats that were provided. While we all love our jobs, it makes it so much more enjoyable when we have community support and partnership!
Next Friday is the PTA Sponsored Spring Carnival from 6-8 pm at the school! We are so excited to have some fun with the Yellow Springs families. Our teams are making themed gift baskets for a silent auction to benefit the PTA. There will be crafts, food, inflatables, games, a photo booth, and more! Please complete the linked flier so that the PTA has a head count.
As always, we thank you for your continued support and partnership in our educational program.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Hannah Feldman and Dr. Kathy Swire

Feasibility Study
FCPS is embarking on a feasibility study of Yellow Springs Elementary. We will be evaluating whether to renovate, renovate with an addition or replace the building on the same site or another nearby future school site, as well as considering traffic flow and construction phasing. Information about the project can be found on the project webpage at https://www.fcps.org/capital-program/yses-feasibility.
We want to hear from you! Students, staff, parents and community members are encouraged to send input to the project manager at holly.nelson@fcps.org.

Incomplete applications will not be processed and may affect your child’s placement.

Your Child’s Sick? Here’s What to Do!
Please keep your child home if they are ill and email yses.attendance@fcps.org to let the school know that your child is unwell. We ask that you keep your child home for 24 hours after the symptom(s) and, if needed, get them tested for COVID-19.
We thank you for your cooperation in keeping all our students healthy and present for instruction!
Volunteering in School
We are welcoming volunteers this year! In order to volunteer, you must complete the online Volunteer Training. If you plan to come into the building for any event, please make sure you have completed this training well in advance so that you can be processed in our system. Due to our COVID-19 protocols, visitors to the school are not permitted this year.
