Paws for PRIDE
Congratulations to last week’s Paws for PRIDE winners: Elliot I, Landon L, Bri D, James K, Selena C, Amberlyce C, Emily F, Jack c, Mr. Lesher, and Mrs. Scherr's 2nd grade class.
Students, classes, and teachers are chosen at random to be recognized and celebrated for demonstrating one of our five character traits - Pride, Respect, Individual Responsibility, Determination & Empathy. Thank you to all of the Titus families for your support of our Paws for PRIDE program.
PSSA Time!
Grades 3-6 will be participating in our state-wide PSSA tests starting on April15th. The following is our testing schedule here at Titus, with all testing happening in the morning:
- Science (4th grade only) – May 1st & 2nd
The best way to prepare for these assessments is to get a good night’s sleep and eat a good breakfast. If anyone is absent during a testing day, the makeup test will be administered upon the student’s return. If you have any questions regarding any of the testing please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Horan.
Parent PD - Writing in 1st Grade
Our next parent PD series focuses on the fundamentals of writing in first grade. Our first grade teachers explain the expectations for student journal entries as well as what parents can practice at home.
This video can be found by clicking here as well as on the Titus website and is a great resource for our current and upcoming first grade students!
Science Fun Day
Science Fun Day is quickly approaching and we need your help! It takes a large variety of items and supplies to make the day a true success. Please consider donating an item or items needed for Science Fun Day.
To help us keep track of the items we have and those we still need, we ask that all parents utilize our on-line system for keeping track of our donations. To see what we need, please click here. Please send in your donation(s) - labeled "Science Fun Day."
Any donation you can make is greatly appreciated! Any questions or concerns can be directly forwarded to Miss Kim Anderson.
News from the Nurse
As the weather gets warmer and our children begin to think of summer….keep the flip flops and open toe sandals AT HOME and ready for the BEACH not here at school!
All elementary students go out for recess daily and should have appropriate footwear that protect and support their feet. Toe, ankle, and foot injuries are more likely wearing flip flops and open toe sandals. Please reserve this footwear for more recreational activities.
Kindergarten Registration 2019-2020
If your child will be eligible to start kindergarten in September, now is the time to register! Kindergarten students must be five years of age on or before August 31, 2019. Register online today! Click here for all the details.
Week 7 In the Books!
Only one more week to go until our annual Color Run on Wednesday, May 8th, benefitting the Travis Manion Foundation! If you are planning on attending please dress in patriotic attire and join in the fun!
This week we were able to get in a full run again in preparation for the Color Run, and we were joined by members of the CB South track team. They showed the kids proper warm-ups, ran outside alongside them, and cooled down with them. They have been very supportive of the iRun4Life program at Titus the past few years, and even gave us a very generous donation!
As usual, we gave away lots of raffle prizes this week, rewarding the kids hard work and effort this season
