Paws for PRIDE
Congratulations to last week’s Paws for PRIDE winners: Shane J., Molly I., Rohan D., Dominic V., Abby D., Venkat B., Mrs. Snyder and Mrs. London's class.
Students, classes, and teachers are chosen at random to be recognized and celebrated for demonstrating one of our five character traits - Pride, Respect, Individual Responsibility, Determination and Empathy. Thank you to all of the Titus families for your support of our Paws for PRIDE program.
Dismissal Reminders
If it is necessary to change your normal pick-up routine at the end of the day, i.e., a different adult, bus rather than car, car rather than bus, a change in child care arrangements, etc., a written note must be presented to the classroom teacher, who will share the information with the office.
Any phone calls regarding a change in end-of-day plans must be directed to the office before 2:30 PM through a phone (267-893-4500, dial zero for the office) or via e-mail (mdaily@cbsd.org and rglasgow@cbsd.org) and not directly to the classroom teacher, as we cannot guarantee the teachers will be able to check their messages during the instructional day.
Halloween Parade - October 31st
Titus's Annual Halloween Parade will take place on Thursday, October 31st at 1:45pm. In the event of rain, the parade will take place inside and unfortunately we do not have enough room in the building to accommodate all our visitors. Classroom parties will take place immediately following the parade and will conclude at 2:45pm in order to prepare for dismissal. Please make sure that all costumes are appropriate for school.
Parent volunteers must check in with the main office when they arrive and must have the proper clearances. Our classroom teachers will communicate specific party information to these helpers. Thank you in advance for your time on this day.
AM Kindergarten Parade - 9:30am followed by their classroom activities
PM Kindergarten and Grades 1-6 Parade - 1:45pm followed by their classroom activities
Titus Honors United States Military Veterans
In November, the windows of the office rotunda will be filled with pictures of United States military personnel. If you have a family member who served or is currently serving in any branch of the US military, please send in a picture of them (picture size 4x6 or smaller) along with this information:
1-Veteran’s name
2- Branch of service
3- Wars fought (if any)
4- Student(s)’ name
5- Relationship to veteran
Please know that only adults will handle the pictures. We will scan them and return them to you. Pictures need to be sent to the office marked Wall of Honor by Thursday, October 24th. Thank you!
Important- If your picture is received after the deadline, it will not be included in the assembly slide show and we cannot guarantee that it will be on the Wall by Veterans Day. Please note that if you sent in a picture in a previous year, you do not need to resend it. We keep them from year to year; however, if the child who initially brought in the photo has moved on to middle school, we may not have a copy of the picture. If you need to update any information, such as additional children now attending Titus, or to check if we have the picture, please email Mrs. Schorpp ASAP at hniemeyerschorpp@cbsd.org

Thank you in advance for your consideration!

Box Tops for Education
It’s contest time!
This year we will be awarding a prize each trimester to the classroom that earns the most Box Tops for Education money for Titus. Each class total will be comprised from the clipped paper Box Tops brought in to school and the digital downloads from scanning your receipts into the Box Tops for Education app. The first trimester prize is a classroom pizza party sponsored by Soprano’s Pizzeria & Restaurant and will be awarded in December. We will be doing our first collection of paper Box Tops on October 25th so send yours in now! Paper Box Tops expire so check your date. Box Tops that expire on 11/1/19 must be received at Titus by October 25th to be counted. The current contest standings (based on receipt scanning only) are as follows:
1st place: Miss Duffy’s class with $15.90
2nd place: Mrs. Snyder’s class with $9.00
3rd place: Mr. Behling’s class with $4.00
