Current Opportunities

Facilitate a Virtual Hangout

SEEC staff hosts a daily Virtual Hangout which is a safe space for the people we support to come together for 30 minutes or so a day to discuss or share anything pertaining to the topic of the day. Virtual hangouts are hosted by a staff member on the Zoom video chat platform and co-facilitated by volunteers. Each hangout group consists of no more than 10 people in each chat. This is an informal, fun, and incredibly rewarding way to give back to the community during this time.

Virtual Mock Interviews

Sign up for a mock interview with a job seeker. Mock interviews are approximately 30-minute meetings that will take place on the Zoom video chat platform. This is a valuable opportunity for the people we support to practice using technology while learning new interviewing skills from the experience and expertise of the interviewers. Interviewers will receive the candidate’s resume, a list of sample interview questions, and a feedback form to be submitted following the interview. One-time, or quarterly opportunities available.

Virtual Job Club Guest Speaker

Help job seekers explore new career interests by sharing your experiences working in a particular industry with a small group of adults with IDD. Discuss the workplace culture, environment, and daily duties of the job. Some industries we’d like to have represented are animal care, mechanics, laboratory work, retail, food, warehouse, technology, child care, podcasting, and creative writing.
