NSF & SACNAS GRANT WRITING AND PEER REVIEW WORKSHOP

SACNAS has previously received funding from NSF to host a fully funded workshop on Grant Writing and Peer Review for early career scientists. Participants of this workshop will learn to critique NSF grant proposals as well as have the opportunity to develop their own proposal with the guidance of peers and advisors.

2024 Applications Are Anticipated to Open Early Summer

About the Program

The NSF & SACNAS Grant Writing and Peer Workshop is held annually (subject to grant funding).

Accepted applicants participate in 2.5 days of intensive, experiential training of the NSF review process and receive assistance in crafting their own NSF proposal for successful submission.

Participants will use the proposal they submit within their original application as their working product to use throughout the workshop. This proposal will be reviewed by peers individually and within a group to provide constructive feedback to the participant.

Eligibility: Applicants should be postdocs or early career professionals who are interested in submitting a grant proposal to either the Biological Sciences (BIO) or STEM Education (EDU) directorates at NSF. Note: Advanced graduate students may be considered.
