When a student’s time at RCS is complete, we want them to:
• Have a fully devoted relationship with Jesus Christ
• Filter everything through a Biblical Worldview
• Exhibit three qualities: Godly Wisdom, Christ-like Character, and Love for One Another
Fully Devoted Relationship with Jesus Christ
We want every student at Renton Christian to learn about Jesus, have an opportunity to make Him Lord and Savior of their life, and develop a fully devoted relationship with Christ.
Biblical Worldview
We want every student to develop a worldview based on Biblical truth through which they filter everything (who they are, how they think, how they act, how they interpret information the world around them, how they interact with other people, etc.). We want each student to believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. We also want each student to believe that the words of the Bible are the primary source for teaching and equipping Christians for a life of righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).
Biblical Worldview Anchors:

• We are sinners in need of a Savior
• We are saved through Christ
• We are called to the mission of God
• We are guided by biblical truth
Three Qualities of a Student:
We want each student to develop and exhibit Godly Wisdom, Christ-like Character, and Love for One Another. We want to engage a student’s head (wisdom), heart (character), and hand (love) at RCS. Each quality has five indicators we want to develop in each student.
Godly Wisdom
“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man,”Luke 2:52
We want to develop students with Godly wisdom who are:
• Critical Thinker – students who strive for wisdom and understanding not just the acquisition of knowledge (Proverbs 4:7).
• Teachable – students who are eager to learn and desire to do so for their entire life (Proverbs 18:15).
• Discerning – students who are not swayed by culture but hold to biblical truth (Romans 12:2).
• Self-Disciplined – students who train their mind and body to accomplish their God-given calling (1 Timothy 4:7-8).
• Missionally Minded – students who are compelled to share their faith and hope in Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:15).
Character
“Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did,”

We want to develop students who exhibit Christ-like Character through:
• Integrity – students who do the right thing in public and in private (Proverbs 11:3).
• Humility – students whose confidence leads to service not pride or selfish ambition (Philippians 2:3-4).
• Resilience – students who have the capacity to withstand difficulties and are refined through them (James 1:2-12).
• Faithfulness – students who are reliable, trustworthy, and full of faith (Luke 16:10-12).
• Courageousness – students who have courage to attempt hard things (Philippians 4:13).
Love
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another,”

We want to develop students who express the love of Christ through:
• Serving – students who think beyond themselves to meet the needs of others (1 Peter 4:10-11).
• Honoring – students who acknowledge and celebrate the image of God in others (Romans 12:10).
• Forgiveness – students who extend forgiveness to others and do not harbor bitterness or resentment (Colossians 3:12-13).
• Encouragement – students who build others up by giving support and hope to those around them (Hebrews 3:13).
• Fruitfulness – students who demonstrate “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23).
