Who’s Qualified for the Next 2020 Democratic Debate?

There are so many Democratic presidential candidates and debates that it can be hard to keep track of who’s in and who’s out. So we’re keeping track for you.

Seven candidates have qualified for the debate on Feb. 25 in South Carolina.

The Feb. 25 Debate

To score an invite, candidates have to meet one of two polling requirements:

two polls at 12 percent or more in South Carolina; or

four polls at 10 percent or more in South Carolina or in national surveys.

Only polls released between Feb. 4 and Feb. 24 will count.

Candidates can also qualify by earning at least one delegate in the Iowa caucuses on Feb. 3, in the New Hampshire primary on Feb. 11 or in the Nevada caucuses on Feb. 22.
