The Mets received a ton of pitcher injury-related news on Monday, but none of it had to do with Jacob deGrom.

Instead, two important relievers and one fan favorite in the back of the rotation were bit by the injury bug. Jeurys Familia, Robert Gsellman and Joey Lucchesi will all hit the injured list for various amounts of time.

The Mets announced that Familia was added to the IL for a right hip impingement. Familia had run into some recent troubles on the rubber, giving up five earned runs, letting opponents hit .385/.529/.615 with four walks in his last three outings.

“It’s something that he talked to the trainers about (on Monday),” Luis Rojas said of Familia’s hip. “Apparently he’s been dealing with this and maybe trying to pitch through it. It’s something that happens. He did the right thing by voicing this. We’ll see if we can get this right for him and he can meet us in 10 days or so.”

Lucchesi's season is jeopardy with a UCL injury.

Gsellman has a lat strain in his pitching shoulder. He has thrown the third-most innings of any Mets reliever, finishing two or more innings a whopping eight times. Gsellman also made a spot start this season.

“We’ll see how long it is,” Rojas said. “He’s on the 10-day IL right now.”

The move comes as a big blow to the bullpen, perhaps the group most responsible for the Mets’ first place standing amid injury after injury to their position players.

“It’s always unfortunate when you lose two important guys from your bullpen. In different roles, they’ve been crucial for us. It’s a tough day losing those two guys. They’ve been throwing the ball well for us.”

Rojas did not have a chance to discuss Lucchesi. The pitcher’s recent MRI revealed a “significant” torn ulnar collateral ligament, according to SNY’s Steve Gelbs. Lucchesi has not committed to Tommy John surgery, according to Gelbs, but it’s always a possibility with UCL tears. Regardless of how he handles it, don’t expect to see Lucchesi’s trademark “Churve” for some time.
