In this inspiring talk, Dr. Coleman will discuss how her intersectional identities and experiences, both in life, and in higher education, have come to shape her view of success, meaning, and purpose in her career and life journey. She will present a bootleg methodology for understanding and deconstructing her own lived academic experiences, as well as situating them in terms of the larger institutional construct of academia. Dr. Coleman has a passion for leveraging the power of identity to empower others to gain access and success, and to help others to live and work authentically and unapologetically in academic spaces and beyond.
