Kevin Broyles is the co-founder and a managing partner at FisherBroyles, LLP. His team works to deliver higher quality legal services that are more responsive and at a significantly lower price than traditional large firms. The firm manages to do this by having only partner level attorneys do your legal-work without a fancy, downtown office which usually drives up costs for clients. The structure created at FisherBroyles LLP institutionalizes inclusion by using a non-discretionary, formula-based compensation model that pays partners more, based on productivity, without the corruptive influence of implicit and explicit biases that often plague traditional law firm models. This inclusive, distributed law firm model has resulted in one of the most diverse groups of partners in the nation. Small daily wins! One thing Erik J. Olson has instilled in me is to make a daily power list of the important things you need to accomplish to move toward your bigger goals. Erik is a beast, persistent, and consistent! That will always beat out skill or book smarts. The river beats the rock every time!
It wasn't just a physical goal; it was mental. Not the strongest runner, I set out to run 1000 miles in a year. Each mile taught me persistence. I learned that success isn't about grand gestures but consistent daily efforts. Breaking down the daunting 1000 miles into daily runs made the goal achievable. It taught me the power of setting micro-goals, a strategy I've applied daily to help me achieve my personal, professional, and financial goals. Sharing my goal publicly increased my accountability. The last thing I wanted was to be ashamed of having given up. This journey reinforced the importance of discipline, a value that deeply influences my business approach. Completing the challenge was a reminder that we are capable of achieving remarkable things with dedication. Whether in running or business, these lessons continue to guide my journey. What difficult goals have you faced, and how did you conquer them?

Well done by one of our amazing podcast guests! Showing us how it is done. Enjoy your trip Hunter Garnett!
I almost didn’t post this on social media. I’m taking off for three weeks to celebrate my ten year anniversary with my wife. A loyal referring lawyers referred a case to a different lawyer because she heard I was taking off for an extended period. I’ve heard from other lawyers who took off for 1+ month and didn’t tell anyone because they were concerned about referrals. Let me tell you, the fact that I’m able to take off for three weeks should make you want to refer me cases. If a lawyer doesn’t have a trustworthy team…. 🚩 If a lawyer can’t leave their office for more than a week without something breaking 🚩 Is my office more productive when I’m in the office? Sure Are cases neglected or clients treated poorly when I’m not around? No way That’s my $.02. But I’ll admit, I work quite a bit while on vacation- not because I have to but because I want to. Now please excuse me while I go on a helicopter ride around the Swiss Matterhorn
