Hello Everyone,   I'm still early in my journey here at Pearson but one of the things I've been most heartened to see is how engaged and passionate our employees are. They are truly invested in our purpose and helping people make progress through learning. At the heart of that is also a commitment to inclusion.    On International Women's Day, I want to recognize the amazing women across Pearson who are supporting each other in the workplace, innovating everyday in our company, and lifting up women worldwide through learning and education. I love the fact that for the first time in my career I am in a company with gender parity in numbers, including at the board and our executive committee, although we do have more work to do in our leadership ranks.   If you look around the world, we can see many places where women’s rights are still being trampled on, in addition to the unconscious biases women grapple with daily. This is an important day to take stock, evaluate our progress as a company and as a community, and be honest about what we need to do to create a culture of inclusion where every person has a voice that counts. At Pearson, we are blessed with gender diversity, but we have more to do inside and outside the workplace.     Let's all consider how we can #InspireInclusion in our daily work lives and in every place we can to increase the sense of belonging.    Omar.

Dear all,   I have been at Pearson for one month and I have to say that our work helping people turn learning into amazing life outcomes, like new degrees, new jobs and new careers, is so motivating!
