Valmet will supply an IQ Moisturizer system for corrugator to Adara Pakkaus in Finland. "We are very proud to get a system extension order from Adara, showing us their trust towards Valmet’s expertise. We have earlier supplied Adara with automatic moisture and temperature controls, utilizing the Valmet IQ moisture measurement family to keep moisture levels in balance throughout the process. The IQ Moisturizer will be automatically controlled according to the existing Valmet IQ Warp Measurement, working in parallel with the existing Valmet quality management system in the production line. The target is to ensure sheet flatness also in problematic unbalanced grades in the corrugator and to avoid post-warp,” says Aki Leiniäinen, Technical Sales Manager, Automation Systems business line, Valmet. On 3rd April 2024, Palm Aalen’s PM5 recorded another great achievement – its #Valmet supplied OptiWin Pro winder won the title of the world’s fastest winder. It was winding high-quality rolls at 3,220m/min with 1.450mm diameter in less than 4 minutes. The speed record was reached just two weeks after the mill’s annual shutdown.
