⚽ 🏀 🥅 🎯 Alongside all the keynotes, breakout sessions, and workshops at #Exceedance 2024 this week, we hope our delegates enjoyed some well-deserved fun at this year’s sports-themed Customer Appreciation event at Taverne 1909 Signé St-Hubert located in the Bell Center in Montreal. From sports contests and live games to lots of dancing and socializing in between, it was a wonderful way to meet up at the home of the Montreal Canadiens.

I was thrilled to be in Montreal this week for #Exceedance2024 — Moody's Corporation's annual gathering of insurance professionals. This year's theme, "See Risk Differently," expanded on the most significant risks facing the (re)insurance industry today. And within those risks is extraordinary opportunity – to grow businesses, to expand capabilities, and to accelerate competitiveness. Thanks, Ben Ames, and to all your colleagues at Gallagher Re who joined us for #Exceedance 2024 in Montreal this week, there was lots to learn about, especially around our new solutions - and we're pleased your excited new launches for 2025. And, a great picture of the Mount Royal Lookout, a good few #EXCD24 delegates walked the walk up at an elevation of approximately 233 meters (764 feet) above sea level, with glorious views of the city and beyond. #EXCD24
This week, I joined the catastrophe modeling community in attending Moody's Insurance Solutions (RMS) Exceedance 2024 in Montréal, Quebec on behalf of Gallagher Re. Several exciting products coming to the industry soon! We at Gallagher look forward to incorporating new elements like the North America HD Severe Convective Storm Model expected to release in 2025.

Insightful and important panel discussion last night at InsurTechNZ's Data & Weather event. Hosted by Tower at our Auckland head office, the evening focused on using big data and digital strategies to improve responses to climate and weather-related insurance events. Tower Head of Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Emily Davies moderated the panel discussion between Tower Chief Underwriting Officer Ronald Mudaliar, The University of Waikato Professor of Environmental Planning Iain White and Moody’s RMS Market and Product Specialist Michael Drayton. At Tower, we’re passionate about risk-based pricing and parametric insurance as tools to help understand and protect communities from climate risks. It was great to connect with others in the insurance and Insurtech industry to talk about these things with expertise from Moody’s RMS and Waikato University.
