Congratulations to our Imperial Valley Team! Last week Erickson-Hall along with representatives from Imperial Valley College celebrated the Grand Opening of the new construction Concessions and Restrooms Building. The new 3,500 SF building includes a concession stand with typical finishes, two gang restrooms, an electrical room, data room, and maintenance room, along with men’s and women’s dressing rooms. The construction of the new facility encompassed installation of Musco Sports Field Lighting at the existing track with additional site lighting throughout. New hard scape was installed for the transition from the concession stand to the existing softball fields incorporating concrete benches, a new flagpole, and upgrades to the existing parking lot. In addition, as part of this project Erickson-Hall coordinated with the Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) for installation of the Borderlink Antenna on the Imperial Valley College site. The Borderlink Antenna project is part of a larger valley-wide initiative whose purpose it to expand ICOE’s internet framework that allows free access to the students and households in the surrounding area. Erickson-Hall is proud to have partnered with Imperial Valley College and the Imperial County Office of Education for another successful project.

This week the Erickson-Hall Team hosted students from the Eisenhower High School woodshop class for a tour of two new buildings currently being constructed on their campus. Donned with construction PPE the students had the opportunity to experience an active jobsite and witness the collaboration of multiple trades working concurrently. During the tour students were introduced to the steps required to become a laborer, the difference between an apprentice and a journeyman, and the benefits of working in the trades. At the end of the tour, the Erickson-Hall Team welcomed students to the construction trailer for a discussion of each team member’s position, day-to-day duties, and the schooling they received before working at Erickson-Hall. The students learned about Building Information Modeling (BIM) and received an overview of the preparation that the Architects, Consultants and the Preconstruction Team perform to get a project ready for groundbreaking and construction prior to mobilization of workers on site. This educational site tour allowed the students to learn about a wide variety of different careers the construction industry has to offer. Thank you to the Eisenhower High School staff and the Rialto Unified School District for allowing Erickson-Hall to share our knowledge with the industry’s next generation.

The Erickson-Hall Team, in partnership with the Fallbrook Union High School District, celebrated the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly completed Fallbrook High School Vocational Arts Building 400. "Fallbrook Union High School District is proud to have worked with Erickson-Hall on this transformative modernization of one of our Vocational Arts Buildings," said Ilsa Garza-Gonzalez, Superintendent of Fallbrook Union High School District. "Through this project, we’ve created an optimal learning environment that will expand college and career opportunities for our students.” Breaking ground last year, the complete Fallbrook High School project also entails the construction of a new CTE Building with dedicated spaces for auto and metal shops, construction of a new Adult Transition Program Building and the removal and replacement of aging portable classrooms. Construction on these facilities is ongoing. Once complete, the comprehensive improvements will help facilitate new college and career educational opportunities for students in a modern, 21st Century learning environment. Erickson-Hall is honored for the opportunity to work with Fallbrook Union High School District on this project that will positively impact the future careers and lives of students at Fallbrook High School. We look forward to continuing our partnership as we celebrate even more improvements to the high school campus.
