Functional health supply chains are critical to providing effective, lifesaving #health services, yet they are often understaffed. In #Benin, the USAID Global Health Supply Chain-Technical Assistance Francophone Task Order coordinates the Young Logisticians Professionals Program (YLPP) with health facility staff and local governments to address the essential need for high-quality and well-trained health #SupplyChain workers. Last week, we were honored to have the opportunity to connect with #SmallBusiness partners at the 15th Annual Conference of the USAID Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU)! 🤝 Our dedicated team members met with partners like Mary Faith Mount-Cors, founder and president of EdIntersect, LLC, a certified woman-owned small business (WOSB) that works to improve equality in #education. We're proud to work with EdIntersect on our USAID #Malawi Next Generation Early Grade Reading project and our USAID #Tajikistan Learn Together Activity—partnerships with small businesses like them allow us to create lasting, #sustainable impact around the world. Vietnam is considered a significant contributor to ocean plastic pollution. This harmful practice weakens the resilience of marine and other ecosystems and exacerbates the effects of #ClimateChange, which #Vietnam is especially vulnerable to. In order to address this issue, we're working through the Vietnam Action Against Plastic Pollution (VAAPP) Activity to improve waste management by engaging stakeholders in the design and implementation of more sustainable, data-driven solid waste models. Learn more about how VAAPP builds #ClimateResilience and is #EmpoweringAsiasFuture: https://ow.ly/s3aC50RHn73

In a brand new blog, our Vice President of Impact, Saeed Uri, reflects on the key challenges and opportunities in implementing #SustainableDevelopment programs in fragile and conflict-affected settings. 🤝🌎 Drawing on more than a decade of experience, most recently on the USAID - Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) #Iraq Regional Program, Saeed uses real-world examples to illustrate why it's crucial for projects to leverage #RapidDataAnalysis to inform decision-making processes and swiftly adapt their programming. By ethically integrating new and emerging technologies, he explains how sustainable development practitioners can maximize impact in communities facing #FoodInsecurity, climate-related risks, and rising social tensions. #DevelopmentWorksHere because great people work here! 👏 Meet Saeed Uri: https://ow.ly/QPgI50RGThk

This is the second year I have had the distinct honor to be invited by the amazing Maegan Shanks to present on inclusive development at Gallaudet University’s International Development M.A. Program. This cohort asked thought-provoking questions, and proposed innovative solutions to some complex, persistent challenges. Experiences like this remind me that the next generation is prepared to make the world a more inclusive, equitable, accepting, and a happier place to be. 🤟🏼 Chemonics International #inclusivedevelopment #GESI
