Michaelann "Mickie" Germershausen
Entered into eternal life on August 4th, just shy of her 78th birthday. Beloved mother of Amy (Jay Janiszewski), Eric, and Joel (Ann Olson). Awesome grandmother of Katherine, Lucy, Anna, and Jane, and step-grandmother of Abigail, Hannah, and Grace. Loving sister of Lynn (John) Biwer, Carol (Roy) Brooks, and the late John Waddleton. Further survived by nieces, nephews, and a wonderful group of friends and neighbors, all of whom she loved dearly. Retired from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she worked as an administrative assistant. Mickie loved children, pets, spring flowers, Door County, and watching the birds from her window. Thanks to the caring staff at Linden Court, whose kindness will be remembered by the family. A memorial mass to celebrate Mickie's life will be scheduled when safety permits. In lieu of flowers, donations can made in her memory to Alzheimer's Foundation of America or the Wisconsin Humane Society.

I knew Mickie for many years at the UWM Lubar School of Business.
She was always a very pleasant and kind person.
We were also bus buddies-riding the UBUS to and from campus.
My sincere condolence to her family.

I worked with Mickie at Cub Foods in the deli department. Mickie was always in a good mood and could make people laugh if they were down.
We had a lot of good (and not good) times at Cub Foods.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY UP IN HEAVEN MICKIE.

Dear Amy, Eric & Joel:
I worked for many years with your mom at UWM. She was a wonderful colleague and even better friend. Mickie was always patient and kind with students, even the ones who were a little cranky. She stepped in to help other staff when they were swamped. And day-in and day-out it was with a wink and a smile. She was so happy to be a grandmother, and spoke very highly of all of you. She will be missed. Our sympathies to the entire family.

Dear Amy, Eric, and Jay,
I have fond memories of your mother, teaching with her at IHM when I was “Mr. Paul” and the Director of Liturgy and Music. We had many long talks and it was always a joy to be with your mom. I will remember her at Mass tomorrow, praying for her to be enjoying eternal life and peace, and I will pray for you and your families, that God will wrap you in the arms of God’s love and presence, in whatever ways you most need at this time.
Fondly, with prayer,
Fr. Paul H. Colloton, OSFS
