He has also done extensive work creating leadership academies in large multi-nationals. Widely known and respected as a long-term leader and expert practitioner in the field of executive development. He has significant cross-sector experience at C-Suite levels, globally, both in internal roles (as Head of Leadership at Royal Dutch Shell) and as an advisor, facilitator, and coach – across sectors, for 20 years.

With deep experience in senior leadership assessment, development, coaching, and teaching, particularly in topics of global leadership, Mr. Baltzley has carried out extensive talent and leadership-portfolio development work in large multinationals and has worked across financial, telecom, and services sectors. His background is particularly strong in energy and extraction industries and in the EMEA region.

Areas of expertise include strategic decision-making, difficult change, culture change, senior team effectiveness, coaching, and talent strategy.

Mr. Baltzley holds a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from Tulane University and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Personality and Organizational Culture.
