My research focuses on the law, ethics and policy of advancing biomedical technologies. Together with a multidisciplinary group of collaborators, I approach questions at the intersection of neuroscience, neurotechnology, law and ethics, as well as  issues posed by organ donation, transplantation and replacement.

Jennifer Chandler receives the 2024 Steven E. Hyman for Distinguished Service to the Field of Neuroethics

Professor Chandler was awarded the Steven E Hyman Award from the International Neuroethics Society at its annual meeting in April 2024. This award recognized her pioneering work at the intersection of law, ethics and neuroscience.

Jennifer A Chandler was asked to Chair a national assessment on FASD, addressing questions related to prevalence, prevention, assessment and diagnosis, and supports for people with FASD. This wide-ranging assessment is being overseen by an expert panel made up of 16 expert members who together represent lived experience, neuroscience, medicine, psychology, education, nursing, social work, occupational therapy, and law.
