Virtual Internship Programme
What is a Virtual Internship?
With the use of modern technology Virtual Internships allow students and graduates to work remotely, to gain relevant industry experience as well as meet academic requirements.
With flexibility being the key, programmes can be built around your schedule. To ensure success, frequent and regular contact between the supervisor and intern is via virtual methods; such as phone calls, video calls, emails and instant messaging and is monitored by the Intern NZ & Intern OZ team. Access to time tracking software will be provided to both the intern and their supervisor to ensure hours, tasks and any academic requirements are being met. How does a Virtual Internship work?
Candidates are provided with a unique opportunity to gain practical skills, industry connections and business experience without leaving home. The internships will primarily be project based.
Communication All communication between the intern and the host company is carried out via online platforms such as phone, email, Skype, WhatsApp, Zoom, webinars, Google Hangouts and various other communication & project management programs. We place a strong emphasis on communication throughout the internship programme. Internship lengths are all customised to needs. Examples:
