Honda Cars India sales decline 48.67 per cent in July 2019
Other than Honda Cars India, carmakers like Maruti Suzuki India, Hyundai Motor India and Mahindra & Mahindra have also witnessed drop in sales in July 2019.

Honda Cars India today reported a 48.67 per cent decline in monthly domestic sales to 10,250 units in July 2019. In comparison, the company had sold 19,970 units in July 2018.
The carmaker also exported 334 units in July 2019. The figure is 47.65 lower than 638 units exported by Honda Cars India in July 2018.
"The degrowth in the automobile industry further intensified last month amidst weak buying sentiment and overall slowdown. We are also witnessing lot of postponement of purchases. It is extremely worrisome since July 2019 decline is much severe than Q1 decline and that too when the industry had degrown in July last year as well," said Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President and Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India.
"Honda Cars India's July 2019 results are on a higher base of July 2018 when all new 2nd-gen Amaze was in its third month of launch and had clocked its highest sales in a month," he added.
The carmaker had sold 10,314 units in the domestic market in June 2019, while the export figure stood at 252 units during the month.
Other than Honda Cars India, carmakers like Maruti Suzuki India, Hyundai Motor India and Mahindra & Mahindra have also witnessed sales decline in July 2019. The total sales of Maruti Suzuki India have fallen 33.5 per cent, Hyundai Motor India 3.8 per cent and Mahindra & Mahindra 15 per cent during the month.
