Women in Dairy Mentoring Circles provide established and emerging leaders in dairy a place to network, share experiences and insights, and support the professional development of women in the dairy industry.
Circles typically hold 1-hour monthly meetings, and consist of 1-2 mentors and 5-7 mentees that are matched with one another by IDFA on an annual basis. Each circle sets their own agenda, but historic topics covered in mentoring circles have included navigating how to ask for a promotion, understanding communication styles, developing leadership skills, and managing work-life balance. In addition, mentoring circle participants regularly report the valuable relationships and strong camaraderie they have built with other women in the dairy industry through their circles.
Want to join a Mentoring Circle? Let us know! IDFA is actively working on improving our Mentoring Circle program by adding mentor resources, structured topics to draw from, and options to extend with current circles. We will begin matching new Mentoring Circles for this year in June 2024 and we hope you will join us! Members of Women in Dairy interested in joining are encouraged to fill out the Mentoring Circles form to learn more and sign up today!
