Our vision

We work with governments, private sector partners, and civil society organizations to bring a 21st-century education to all children and youth in Latin America and the Caribbean. Investing in human capital unlocks individual potential and yields long-term benefits that contribute to more prosperous, sustainable, and equitable societies. We support the transformation of education and training systems by ensuring quality, relevance, inclusion, efficiency, and innovation. We leverage technology to bridge the gaps and create learning opportunities for everyone everywhere and in every situation.

We promote smart spending

Education information systems, resource allocation rules, centralized student & teacher assignment.

We are reinventing the classroom

through curriculum enrichment, protecting trajectories, teacher development, and infrastructure.

We foster digital transformation

to accelerate learning: connecting schools, providing technology, and enhancing digital skills.

Quality education

Education is key to overcoming structural inequalities. However, 36% of students in the region do not finish secondary and 50% of 15-year-old don’t understand what they read.

Digital transformation

The pandemic showed that connectivity, far from being a luxury, is a right. Education services need to undergo a digital transformation. That means connecting every school in the region and developing hybrid models.
