NUWAY Alliance Finds New Home for Cochrane Recovery Services

NUWAY Alliance announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Ramsey County Care Center in Maplewood, Minnesota. The property will serve as the new location for Cochran Recovery Services (CRS), which NUWAY began managing in 2019.

A residential treatment program that had been located in Hastings, Minnesota, CRS faced potential closure amid mounting financial pressures when NUWAY took over management of the program. CRS treats adults identifying as men who are experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

NUWAY Alliance began searching for a new location for CRS after being informed by its landlord, the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, that it planned to redevelop the property. NUWAY moved to acquire Ramsey County Care Center, a nursing home for older adults from 1959 to 2022. NUWAY noted in a news release that the facility’s private location and existing amenities make it ideally suited for residential behavioral care.

Clients currently receiving treatment at CRS will not have their services disrupted during the transition, and the program will continue accepting new clients. The new CRS location is slated to open in December.

Family Care Center Adds Location in Colorado

Family Care Center, a provider of outpatient mental health services in Colorado with additional facilities in Texas and Tennessee, has opened a new clinic in Fort Collins. The program is Family Care Center’s 17th in the state.

The new Fort Collins location will be staffed with 11 therapists and 4 prescribers for medication management needs, and it will also offer transcranial magnetic stimulation for conditions such as depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Gateway Foundation Appoints Chief Marketing Officer

Gateway Foundation, a not-for-profit addiction treatment provider with programs in 9 states, recently appointed a new chief marketing officer as the company eyes national expansion. Robert Miller, a 25-year industry veteran, joins Gateway after most recently serving as chief marketing officer at a digital-first, startup telehealth company, where he oversaw branding and marketing to support primary and chronic care services, including mental healthcare.

Miller’s hiring follows the addition of 6 new members to Gateway’s board in May and the appointment of Jeremy Klemanski as CEO in January.

Inner Haven Wellness Opens New Eating Disorder Program in Wisconsin

Eating disorder treatment provider Inner Haven Wellness has announced the opening of a new intensive outpatient program for adults in Madison, Wisconsin.

The program will provide care for eating disorders and related conditions, drawing from dialectical behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. The new Madison facility will offer treatment for eating disorders and co-occurring conditions with a focus on skill development. Inner Haven Wellness provides individualized nutrition planning, supportive meals, mindful movement, individual and group therapy sessions, and skill-building exercises.

The organization said in a news release that it is continuing preparations to expand into higher levels of care at the new Madison location, as well as its other programs in Wisconsin.
