"I’ll never find another you, so I’m never letting you go.”

Truth is book one in the brand new Sinful Series by Trilina Pucci. First, let me get this out! OH MY GOSH!!! Okay, I feel better now! This book! You are going to feel anger and love, you are going to sigh and swoon, you are going to smile and gasp. I loved it.

Drew Matthews has worked ten long years to get to where she is now at her job. She has just been promoted to Vice President of Branding and Marketing and scored a swanky new office. She is thirty one years old and is also alone. Except for her best friend, Gretchen, who I also loved by the way. Gretchen convinces her that it’s time to find room in her life for someone else. Sometimes, though, the road to finding the right man, the one, isn’t an easy one, and you have to meet the wrong man first!

man kissing woman's hand

Dominic King owned many businesses all over Chicago. One of which was a sex club called Church. The night he saw her there, he couldn’t take his eyes off of her. The pull was impossible to ignore. King doesn’t do relationships. He’s too busy running his empire. But he knows one night with Drew will never be enough. King has some certain proclivities when it comes to sex, and he recognizes the same in Drew, even if she doesn’t realize it herself.

hands tied behind her back

King has never allowed himself to feel before for any woman but he can’t stop what he feels for Drew. But Drew just separated herself from a very toxic relationship. She feels like she lost herself during that time and she can’t let that happen again. She’s not ready and King is unforgiving in the way that this hurts him. When she is ready, can she ever convince King to forgive her and to give them a second chance?

Truth, by Trilina Pucci releases October 30th.

First of all, you’re going to need to keep the temperature turned down when you read this one, ladies, because it’s a hot one! These two have chemistry that is smokin! King is every bit a sexy alpha hero and he was perfect. Drew is a tough one as well. It just took her a bit of time to figure it out. She lost herself for a while. I could not put this book down. I had to know what happens next. And that ending! It was perfect. I am so glad that I have found this author. Her books never fail to take me on a journey! This is the first book and I am already in love with this series. I am so excited to see what comes next.

“Thank you for bringing me back to life.
Thank you for being my life.”

Truth by Trilina Pucci is the first novella in her A Sinful Series. When I found out each story would be based on one of the seven deadly sins, I was sold! I don't know what it is about that topic, but it gets me everytime!

tumblr_maih6mu2ZY1rt5smro1_250

Dominic King and Drew Matthews meet at a sex club, and after just one night, they realize what they feel for one another is far more than just physical desire. Drew just got out of a long unhealthy relationship, so when Dominic tries to take things further than their 24 hour fling, she pushes him away. Both parties try to move on, but after a month's time apart, it begins to feel like an impossibility. Since it was Drew's decision to end things with Dominic before they even really started, she knows she is going to have be the one to try to repair things between them now.

Dominic vowed to never forgive Drew if she walked away from him, and he is not a pushover by any means. Winning his heart after she stomped on it isn't going to be easy, but Drew doesn't expect it to be. She knows there is only one way to get Dominic back and that's on her knees.

Truth is a short, sweet, and steamy romance that will leave you wanting more of this couple and the other characters when you reach the end. "Truth or dare, gorgeous"

I must confess my truth. I got a taste for the new drug and I'm addicted and Trilina Pucci has just become my main dealer! I fell in love with this story from the first page. The author knows perfectly well how to attract the reader's attention and not let it break away! Truth is a devilishly sexy and sensual story. It's such a good book that you get delightful thrills while reading.

At the beginning of this masterpiece, we meet 31-year-old Drew Matthews, who is an ambitious workaholic who does not see life outside of her work. However, after receiving the coveted promotion, she decides to go wild and goes out with a friend to celebrate her success. In one of the bars she meets Nick, who immediately catches her attention and she’s charmed by him. And here the downfall begins. Although the beginning of this relationship was promising, it turned out that Drew's boyfriend is a selfish asshole and manipulator who only cares about his career and appearances. During the one-year relationship, the girl lost herself and voluntarily gave control, seeking approval. The woman finally has enough and decides to leave. On the same day, Drew takes part in a bachelorette party, which will have final in an exclusive sex club...

Dominic King is a successful businessman who runs the company together with his brother Luca. Men lost their parents when they were teenagers and they invested the whole inheritance to create King Enterprises. Right now the company owns night clubs, restaurants, bars, commercial real estate, hotels and private clubs. One of them is Dominic’s favorite place- Church.

That's where they meet. This is the place where unrestrained lust, passion and feelings startling. Although they see each other for the first time, they fit together like pieces of a puzzle. Within 24 hours, they fulfill all their fantasies. They both want more. They both feel that this is the beginning of something wonderful and they have never had such a strong feeling before.
However, Drew has to find herself before giving herself to another man ... no matter how much he affects her and how much lust is between them ...

*sigh*

I'm charmed. Trilina Pucci has created an interesting story that begs for more. We got a heroine who is strong, determined and wise. We have a hero who is the embodiment of all female fantasies. Descriptions of the surroundings made me feel like an eyewitness to the scenes taking place. I had the impression that as soon as I reach out my hand I will feel the softness of the velvet walls, and when I look up I will see the light reflected in the crystal chandeliers. Secondary characters draw attention, without overshadowing the main characters. And all the passion between Drew and King… I was constantly fanning myself! Seriously, this book should be sold with a fire extinguisher. It’s THAT HOT!

Everything in this book is perfect. There is really nothing to complain about.
This was my first book from this author and it’ll be not last! Reading Truth made Trilina Pucci my "1-click author" and I can’t wait for her next books!

PS. For all readers - DOMINIC KING IS MINE! I'm claiming him as my book-boyfriend and I'm not sharing!

If begging is required, then I’m willing to crawl for my redemption.”

Sometimes you read a book and it just isn't for you. Doesn't make it a bad book by any means, just happens to not be your particular cuppa. Unfortunately this book just wasn't my particular cuppa.

If you enjoy insta-love and scorching hot erotica romance, you'll definitely want to check it out. Those things happen to be my kryptonite. I wanted more substance and less sex. Though I will admit, while the connection between Drew and King was too quick for my liking, the chemistry between them was off the walls hot.

When a disastrous relationship leaves Drew question herself, a night of scorching sex with a sexy stranger seems to do the trick. Never did she expect for that 24hrs to lead to something so much more. King is an instant magnetic presence and I liked him from the go. Admittedly I struggled with Drew. She's a successful woman in a high-power position, yet at times her behavior is borderline juvenile. Luckily she did grow on me throughout the course of the story.

Where I really struggled was buying into the instant and intense connection between Drew and King based on nothing than mutual desire of kinky sex and chemistry. I just couldn't buy into the intensity between them in such a short amount of time. Especially given that we're told King is not known for wanting relationships. I felt like an outsider looking into to everything rather than experiencing their story with them.

When I felt the story was coming to an end, there's a significant twist thrown in. And while this would have served the story well about half way through, towards the last 90% it felt too late and rushed. This is where we get a large chunk of character development for King, but again, it felt rushed and came far too late.

All in all it was an entertaining read, just not something I'd normally gravitate towards. The blurb sounded super intriguing and I loved the cover, and i think I just had different expectations. So give it a read and judge for yourself. I'm clearly in the small minority with my opinion, so it very well is a case of just me. I do believe most will really enjoy it. I suppose I'm too picky for my own good sometimes. *shrugs*

After getting the job of her dreams, Drew decides it’s time to go for more in her life. With that in mind she meets Nick who appears to be everything a girl could want. However, after a year together it’s obvious that is not the case. With a lot of back and forth and, in my opinion, too much time spent on this relationship, the story moves forward and Drew is pulled into Dominic King’s world. This is where things start to get interesting.

King is a man to fear and for good reason. When he sees Drew for the first time he wants her immediately. Fortunately, with a sex club as their meeting place, she is titillated and allows her to lead her to his private room. What follows is twenty-four hours together with lots of sex and some time spent getting to know one another before their conflict arises.

I didn’t love this book, but I did find it to be okay. I felt as though both Drew and King’s characters were inconsistent in their development which affected my overall feelings. However, there was a lot of hot and steamy scenes so if that’s your thing then you’ll definitely enjoy this. There is a bit of drama at the end as well as some secondary character development that helped to add to the dangerous vibe regarding King. I must confess I felt that these latter scenes were trying too hard too late in the story and I would’ve liked to have seen more of this dark side of King earlier in the book.

I was given an advanced readers copy of this book and have decided to leave a voluntary honest review. When I heard about all the hype about this book. I read the blurb and knew without a dought in. Y mind I needed to read truth. Now that I have read it I have to say all the hype was well worth it, truth blew me away. Trilina went way outside the box for juicy read. I was taken back by how much I couldn't stop reading it, now that I am finished I want and need more but first. Dominic damn that man is walking sin, dangerous and sexy what a combo. And Drew I love her fiesty attitude she fits him to a T! They are both dark, dirty, Cunning and sexy. Now I can't wait for Luca I just don't think he's as innocent as Dominic makes him out to be. I mean hello they both own church so he can't be that tame or at least I'm hoping he's not lol. And I'm also very intriged by Dante what is his story??

Oh WHAT A BLAST OF A BOOK! This book is based on one of the seven deadly sins - ‘Lust’ and you most definitely need to read this. No. YOU’D WANT TO READ THIS!!! It will shred every ounce of lust you have in you. There’s so much more in the pages of this book that you need to read about.

Dominic King is an absolute beast! Loyal, dangerous, protective... the hero who stands for nothing and want nothing but your truth. He has my vote!!!

Drew is a badass. I mean, who isn’t after she said she would have sold her grandma for a view!! Grandma for the view LOL That’s gold! And once she recognised and found herself again - she became this fierce and powerful woman who would only bow down to her truth.

The supporting characters are amazing! You need more of them. Their teasing. Their being savages. Their support. Their loyalty.

This is definitely not your average book on lust. Lust is only the tip of the iceberg in this story!!! I’m now feeling like Pavlov’s dog salivating for more. It is well-written. King and Drew’s story will show you the power you hold as an individual - the power you can and should use in all aspects of your life!! ONE-CLICK... DON’T miss out on this because it’s bloody amazing. Loved this!!!

Ps: I want more of Luca and Dante!!!

"I'll sit at your feet until you trust me to stand by your side."

New author! New voice! New series! I will say, first and foremost, that even while the book felt a little truncated in some spots, Trilina Pucci's VOICE is what I am very excited to hear more of. I liked the story a lot and felt that I was getting a full story, it was just the execution sometimes lacked complete cohesion. But, I don't want that to take away from the fact that I really enjoyed the book as a whole and I was able to follow it along, connect with the characters, and enjoy the story.

As I was reading, I found that I broke up my feelings based on each 1/3 of the book.....which is weird, but it made me giggle thinking about it. The first was pretty good as she set up the story, the middle kinda slowed down and was a little patchy, but the last third had me reading with eyes wide open! I felt like she got her groove at the very end of the story, and it buttoned up nicely with a nice segue into the next book coming in the series.

While I was really worried about the sex club aspect (since I feel super particular about them), I didn't want it to be the 'token sex club' in a book. While I felt it was probably unnecessary for how it all tied in, it was ultimately the trajectory for their story...so I went along with it. Again, it wasn't bad by any means and the story was good - I'm just super picky about them in stories. But the "scene" in her office felt verrry disjointed and it almost felt like it was thrown in for the obligatory "hot scene" for the book, given the nature of it. What woman, who has worked that hard to get to where she was, does something irresponsible like that....? I don't know, but it was a head-shaking moment for me. I wasn't a fan of that part at all - but that's totally a personal feeling on it, nothing more.

I feel like her writing was something I had to get used to, but it wasn't hard at all - just took me a good minute. Her voice was a little different and it was hard to get a feel for it at first, but once I found a groove with her writing, it flowed much better. In the beginning, she was telling the story and actions were moving, but it seemed to be working as she was setting up the story because I was able to stick through it and follow the story as it progressed. While I struggled with the writing, I couldn't put it down. I know that says something, so the fact that it felt a little forced and lacked some luster, it didn't deter me from finishing. The underlying VOICE was enough to keep me going and I most definitely look forward to reading more of her. I want to check out the next book because I need Luca's story.

I mentally warred a little bit between the character Dominic portrayed to the outside world versus how he truly was emotionally. It was shocking because we literally didn't learn about his affiliations until later in the book, and then it was literally in your face. Is that saying that a 'businessman' like Dominic can't be a softie for his woman? No. No way. Not at all. It just didn't line up cohesively sometimes, but I was curious and really liked his dynamic, so I was able to go with it. He had a clear soft spot for Drew. Drew was a very headstrong character, but not in a stubborn way. I felt it was more her needing to accept her strengths for what they were and realizing that she was in charge of her own destiny, and not some needless, spineless jerk. But when she actually fought for what she knew was 'hers', she came into her own.

"I'd rather live in this lie than in any truth she isn't a part of."

I know I need to follow Trilina Pucci because she can tell a story, and by the time it was inching closer to the end, she made me feel more emotionally connected. Even though there were parts that pulled me out, I liked it overall. I feel with some good editing and proofing, the hindsight style of writing and the ease of her plot holes being explained away will become less frequent, and she will be an author to stalk for heavy emotional reads. Just the kind I prefer.

The idea alone behind the series completely pulled me in. An entire standalone series (interconnected characters) based off the seven deadly sins, with this first one being about lust? Yes, please!! Pucci added this sin in well, and the underlying theme played into their story nicely. It was more of a hint, I felt, and less of a LOUD presence and I feel like that's why it was pulling me in as much as it was. I know this review probably sounds super critical, but I assure you it's not. I left her book with a smile on my face and some good discussions with others that have already read it.

"I can see her truth, she wants this, and the dare is a challenge she won't pass up."

This was a dark but beautiful story- one that takes you into a world that you will not want to leave. There are two strong and powerful characters, for different reasons, but yet together they will make your head explode and your knees weak. The story that Trilina weaves left me on a high because I can only imagine what's to come from her. I want all the characters in the book to get their story because I love this world she has created! I highly recommend you get your hands on this book as soon as it's released because Truth will rock your world!

Drew is a bad ass boss lady. She has everything she could possibly want- except for the man. Her journey throughout this book is one to be admired, and I loved reading about her. She is one of those female leads that you remember because you want to be like her.

King is the ruler of all. He is the alpha we all love, the one that we secretly love in books because he is bossy, but in real life he wouldn't last two seconds. His world is something that Drew needs and at the perfect moment.

These two together are fire- the scorch meter is through the roof. They bring out each others true passions in and out side the bedroom! ;) This book is so much to explain in just one post- but to sum it up I think it's about taking the dare to finally find their truth. I highly recommend it and hope you enjoy it! 5 full stars from me!

This had a promising beginning when we meet Drew and get an inside view of the toxic relationship she had with Nick. We see how they meet and then how Nick becomes a controlling abusing asshole and how Drew becomes a doormat. Just when she decides to take her life back and dump Nick she meets King. They have an intense instant attraction and decide on a one night stand which turns into a 24 hour fling. Their fling was hot, and King was great. I could feel their connection and see Drew get her sense of self back. At the end of the 24 hours King decided he wanted to extend their “date” and whisk her away for a week. When Drew hesitated and turned him down,( she was still living with Nick after all) and that’s where the book went to hell. At that point King turned into a combination of a little girl who didn’t get his way and an ass just like Nick. They part ways and after a month apart doormat Drew returns and decides she can’t live without him and will do anything to get him back. And by anything I mean beg and totally demean herself. Yuck. I hated them both by this point. 2 stars.

DNF 34%.

Writing was OK. Nothing special. Boring mostly. And the sex which is supposed to be hot given this genre, was meh. I skipped a bunch. Like almost the whole first chapter about the ex. What’s the point of wasting all that writing just to say Drew had an assholish bf?

There just no “meat” (ironically given the h likes meat) to this story.

I have the second one too but not sure I want to waste time.

Wow, hot! If you don't like to read a lot of hot sex or swearing then this is not your book.
Drew starts out having no relationship with a man. She meets a man at a bar and then they move in together. But he is not what she thought he was and she wants out. He is domineering and tells her what to do and how to dress. He tells her she has to go to a bachlorette party of his best friend's fiance. So she goes only to find out it is a sex club. As they get kicked out of the club Drew is intrigued and starts walking around. Little does she know she has caught the eye of the owner who wants her body bad. King can't believe his luck when she decides to stay 24 hours with him. Bt what he doesn't count on is falling for Drew. He has never had a relationship with any woman besides a bed mate. We find out his past and where he has come from and who he is now.

This book was so boring. There really wasn't a plot beyond following these characters through various things. The heroine meets a guy and dates him. But that's not the love interest? We fast forward a year to when they break up and she goes to a club and has a one night stand with a guy she can't forget. AND THEN we fast forward eight months? Like, what is the point??? Obviously they get tighter after that, but then this turns into an odd mafia romance. It's like this romance didn't know what it wanted to be and I just didn't care about anything. I only finished because I never DNF audiobooks, but I just didn't get the point of this book. It was so insta-love and just didn't know what it wanted to be.

What an introduction to this mafia family. Dominic is poised to take over the family, but he doesn't want to take over the same way his father runs things. Dominic is also the owner of a sex club and has a dark side. Drew is introduced as a boss bitch, but she finds herself in an abusive relationship. When Drew finally finds a way out, she finds her way into Dominic's arms. I enjoyed Truth so much that I dove into the series head first.

If I needed to beg my way back to Dominic King's good graces, I would crawl through fire to get to his majesty. He is a major alpha, knows what he wants and gets what he wants, perceptive, dangerous, devoted, loyal and is very aware of the potential of what Drew Matthews could mean in his life.

This story was H.O.T.T.T......Not erotica, but super HOTTTT scenes that will make your heart race and want to stick your head in the freezer for a tad bit.

I don't want to give too much away, but I will say, you will fall in love with King and the guys that are important to him. Drew is a strong female who has to figure her life out to be this amazing strong heroine that King deserved.

I loved this story. It was fast paced, unputdownable, when it was over, I was disappointed because I wanted so much more. Dual POVs, which I love. What a great introduction to this series!!!! I am soooo looking forward MORRRREEEE!

Trilina Pucci is a “new to me” author and I couldn’t be more excited that my book babes brought her to my attention. I went into Truth completely blind, for me that’s the most exciting way to experience words from a new voice. This is a great start to a new series and I couldn’t be more excited to get lost into Trilina’s world.

Drew and King have a bond the moment they meet one another in the most unexpected of places. The insta-connection between them seems a little unlikely, but once you get a taste of them together the puzzle pieces fall into place and they simply make sense. Their time together is a hot and sexy whirlwind. Drew is feisty and everything that King didn’t realize he needed in his life. She doesn’t back down to him and I absolutely love that about her. King is a protective, alpha male and makes it abundantly clear what he wants, and he wants Drew.

There were some exciting and interesting revelations that I wish would have been shared earlier in the saucy romance. I loved the twists I didn’t see coming and hope they are explored in Luca’s story. I am captivated by what this series will bring to us in the future. I highly recommend taking a chance on this series, I can’t wait to see what Trilina has in store for us!

If you know me, you know I enjoy a good anti-hero! Well Dominic King is the perfect combination of alpha and angel, though the latter is only in the way that he treats Drew.

The sexy scenes in this one were scorching, but I loved how committed and loving Dominic was to Drew. To the outside world he was a man to be feared, but never once was I concerned that he would turn that cruelty on Drew.

I flew through this one. It was a fun, sexy read that had me turning the pages and had a great set-up for the next book in the series! Can't wait!

This book is TERRIBLE. I started listening because Troy Duran is the narrator, but he barely has any lines and even that isn’t enough to save this craptastic disaster. Potential SPOILERS in this recap.

Drew (dumb, twat, dumb, just dumb) stays in a crappy relationship with Nick for a year. We spend over an hour listening to this. She’s supposed to be some high powered marketing executive, but she tolerates her live-in boyfriend putting her down and disregarding her feelings. So he pressures her to go to some girls bachelorette party, that happens to be at a sex club. There she meets King (sorta dabbled in mafia-ish stuff, not believable as an alpha). They’ve got this “instant” connection and feel like they’ve known each other forever. So he takes her to his sex room in the club and he fingers her to climax. Immediately afterwards she’s ready to put her clothes on and leave because she won’t be bossed around, dammit!!! (insert foot stomping temper tantrum) 🙄 So after a weekend of sexy times, which we don’t hear about, she tells him she can’t be with him because she needs to find out who she is. 🙄 and she walks away. Then she goes back to the apartment she shares with Nick and then moves out.

A month later she shows up at his restaurant and freaks out when she sees him kissing another woman and holding a kid. Surprise! It’s just his twin brother. So King reaches out to her and when she shows up he’s left some note for her that just repeats the last words she said to him. She’s so hurt by it.

This is a summary of what happens next:

I can’t with this childish behavior. She acts like a hormonal teen throwing fits. The book is just a freaking mess. I absolutely can’t stand her. Even with Troy Duran's voice, I still can't like him!!! I'm highly influenced by sexy voices - but this proves that I CAN separate voice from character!!! I'm sure @Cecile is going to be proud of me.

FYI - I'm going to listen to the second book because it's apparently about Luca (King's twin brother) and Gretchen (Twat's BFF) - except in THIS book, Luca is happily married with a baby. Hmmmmm I need to know if it's as bad as it sounds. How does he go from happily married with a baby to so desperate to have Gretchen that he'll beg??

Wow! Fans of Insta-Love, this one here is for you! I haven't read a book where the characters connected so quickly in a long time. This was sexy and fast paced and I loved King. He was certainly alpha, a powerful man that many feared. His first meet with Drew is in his sex club and it was lust at first sight. There are hints of BDSM and while they don't really go there, this book was still HOT. I had issues with the inconsistency of both characters' peronalities and sometimes the story didn't seem to flow well and I was confused at times. However, overall I thought this was a good read. I loved the set up for the secondary characters and I would be interested to read their books.

Truth by Trilina Pucci is an absolutely sinful, naughty and swoonworthy read! The first of seven in the sinful series definitely satiates your appetite. It's naughty in the very best possible way. It does not disappoint.

I loved Drew's character so much! Drew is feisty, independent and sexy. She knows what she wants and will take no prisoners getting it. She is such a strong character that I've grown to love and admire.

And well, I love every shade of Dominic King. Dark, Dangerous, alpha, loyal and sexy; what more could you ask for in a man?

The story completley enraptured me. From the prologue, I was intrigued by Drew's story, and I loved the balance of it. There wasn't too much of one thing or the other, it seemed to be a perfect balance between everything in the novel.

I loved the secondary characters. I loved Gretchen's sassiness and fight for her friend. She is literally the best friend a woman deserves, and Luca's carefree personality and relationship with his twin made me fall in love with him more and more.

And as for Nick... well there's a word suitable for him that's not PG-13, but it rhymes, so yeah, I think you know what I'm talking about.

Truth is an unputdownable read! I could not put it down for one second, and kept on squealing like a high school girl whose date asked her to prom. Such an addictive and sexy read. Easily one of my favourites of 2018.

Truth was a very sexy and consuming story that I could not put down. I loved King and Drew and how perfect they were for one another. This story was intense and erotic af and such a fantastic start to the series.

When Drew comes out of a bad relationship she could never have expected to meet moody, broody, dark and dangerous Dominic King at a high-end sex club. Unbeknownst to her, she is about to embark on a sexy journey of reestablishing her strength and inner fire. But what happens when doubts set in and she is afraid to lose herself and her voice to a man once again even though King has a sweet and sensual and yet dominant and aggressive personality she loves.

I really liked this story. It was sexy and gripping. I loved how addicted King and Drew were with one another even thought the "insta" love aspect was a little bit off putting. All in all, this was edgy and delicious and I hope we get Luca and Dante's books. Bravo!  4 Stars! ~Ratula

Wow! This was a nee to me author. It was recommended to me by a friend. I am so glad that she thought of me because this book had me from jump! King is a total alpha! And the only time he was actually an a hole what when he was feeling vulnerable. Drew is the exact kind of woman I would look up to! I would want her to be my BFF so that I could try to steal some of her awesomeness. And she handles King like a pro! And there are some SERIOUSLY HOT A F scenes in this book that had my heart pounding. I am so excited to see what this author has churning in her brain for her next story. I was introduced to some pretty intriguing secondary characters that I would LOVE to know more about. Definitely one of my new one-click authors!
