The word CANCER, holds a weight so heavy that it can consume your body, mind, and soul. That ugly word hit our family incredibly hard when we found out that my sister was fighting not only Thyroid but now Lymphoma cancer. For those who know my sister, know that she is extremely resilient and she is able to bounce back from everything life has thrown her way. This experience is like anything we could ever prepare for.
For starters, I would like to ask for your prayers of uplifting strength, so that my sister, Maria Felix Mendoza, may overcome her diagnosis and live cancer free.
I have seen my sister go from tickling her three kids at the same time to make their smiles bright as day, to being so fatigued that she is unable to move due to her chemotherapy. She lives, breathes, and does it all for her children and she simply cannot do it alone.
With this GoFundMe I sincerely ask for any contribution that will ease her financial burden so that she may focus on recuperating her health and her beautiful family. Although with insurance, she has incurred over $8,000 in medical bills and counting. Having to leave her work to center her life on getting better; her bills continue to rack up with weekly visits to the doctor.
