Themin Suwardy

Chair, GMAC Board of Directors

Associate Provost (Postgraduate Professional Education) | Singapore Management University

Dr. Themin Suwardy is the Associate Provost (Postgraduate Professional Education) overseeing an annual intake of over 1,500 students across all SMU Masters programmes. His responsibilities include academic governance and policies, institutional marketing and outreach, and student experience and development. As Associate Professor of Accounting Practice, Dr. Suwardy is a regular contributor to professional and regulatory bodies, industry and media on matters related to Corporate Governance and Controls, Accounting Education, and Financial Reporting and Disclosure. As an academic, he has received awards both at SMU and internationally, including the Singapore’s Public Administration Medal (Bronze), CPA Australia’s Lifetime Achievement Award, CEEMAN’s Champion Award and IBM Faculty Award. He is the Vice Chairman of SATA CommHealth, a leading charity for the advancement of lifelong health in the community, and a member of the Ministry of Finance’s Goods and Services Tax Board of Review.  

Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou

Dean and Richard P. Simmons Professor of Finance | Tepper School of Business | Carnegie Mellon University

Dr. Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou is a Richard P. Simmons Professor of Finance and the 10th Dean of the Tepper School of Business. Since her arrival in 2020, Bajeux reorganized the leadership structure and started new Master’s degree programs that offer Tepper students new options and enhanced flexibility. She launched the first comprehensive Tepper School DEI&B Strategic Plan to support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The Tepper School is known for being the birthplace of management science, as well as for its frequent cross-collaboration with the other renowned schools at Carnegie Mellon. In that spirit, Bajeux repositioned Tepper’s brand to prepare students for “The Intelligent Future,” where decisions are data informed and human driven. Before her tenure at Tepper, Bajeux was Dean of McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management in Montreal, Quebec where she spearheaded the school of retail management and several new master’s degree programs.

Martin Boehm

Rector & Professor of Marketing | EBS Universitӓt für Wirtschaft und Recht

Professor Dr. Martin Boehm is the Rector of EBS Universitӓt für Wirtschaft und Recht, where he also serves as a Professor of Marketing. His research, teaching, and consulting activities are focused on issues of pricing and customer loyalty. Professor Boehm received his doctorate from Frankfurt University. He had earlier graduated from the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and from Reutlingen University with a Bachelor’s in International Business. Prior to joining EBS University in 2021, Professor Boehm had served on the faculty of IE Business School in Madrid and Segovia where he received several awards for his teaching across degree and executive education programs. While at IE Business School he served in various leadership roles such as the Dean, the Dean of Programs, the Associate Dean of the Master’s in Management, and the Dean of Undergraduate Studies. Professor Boehm currently serves on the international board of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), and has served on the Industry Advisory Board of the EMBA Council and the EQUIS Accreditation Board of EFMD.

Mukesh Butani

Founder and Managing Partner | BMR Legal Advocates

Mukesh Butani is the Founder and Managing Partner of BMR Legal Advocates, a Tier 1 law firm. He is also Co-founder and Chairman of BMR Advisors, one of India’s leading professional services firms in the areas of Tax, Risk, and M&A. With specialization in corporate international tax and transfer pricing, he has experience in advising multinational corporations and Indian conglomerates on a range of matters concerning business re-organization, cross-border structuring, and tax controversy. Mukesh served as Vice-Chair of the ICC Paris Tax Commission and as a member of the Permanent Scientific Committee of the International Fiscal Association and OECD BIAC. A Fellow Chartered Accountant, he holds a double bachelor's in Accounting and Financial Management, and a degree in Law. He serves as an Independent Board Member in select leading Indian and multinational corporations and is a visiting faculty at the University of Vienna and the University of Lausanne. 

Itziar de Ros

Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications | IESE Business School | University of Navarra

Itziar de Ros is the Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications at IESE Business School in Barcelona. In this role, de Ros is responsible for IESE’s marketing and communications strategy across all its campuses. She joined IESE in 2007 after working in marketing at DuPont, based in Geneva, Switzerland. In 2011, de Ros was made Director of MBA Admissions at IESE, a post she held for six years, managing a team of 20 people from 12 different countries. Since 2021, de Ros has been on the Board of Raventós Codorniu, one of the most prestigious wine and sparkling wine companies in Europe. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of Navozyme, a blockchain-based solutions company based in Singapore. She holds an MBA from IESE, as well as a master’s degree in Digital Transformation and a BA in Business Administration from the University of Navarra. 

W. Bruce DelMonico

Assistant Dean for Admissions | Yale School of Management | Yale University

Bruce DelMonico is Assistant Dean for Admissions at the Yale School of Management. He joined Yale SOM in 2004 and has led the Admissions Office since 2006. During his time at Yale, Bruce has helped innovate new technologies and novel methods of candidate evaluation, including early roles in the Slate CRM system, the use of asynchronous video questions, and the adoption of forced-choice non-cognitive assessments. He has sat on a number of industry-related boards and is a past Trustee of the Hopkins School in New Haven, Connecticut. Before joining Yale, Bruce was an attorney focused on First Amendment, white collar, and commercial litigation, working primarily on cases with exposure ranging from $10 million to $10 billion. Bruce holds a bachelor’s degree in Honors English from Brown University, a master’s degree in Literature from the University of Texas at Austin, and a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Yuan Ding

Cathay Capital Chair Professor in Accounting | CEIBS

Dr. Yuan Ding is Cathay Capital Chair Professor in Accounting at CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) and was the Dean of the school between 2015 and 2023.Prior to joining CEIBS, he was a tenured faculty member of HEC School of Management, Paris, France. He is a member of the European Accounting Association, French Accounting Association and American Accounting Association. He holds a PhD in Accounting from the Institute of Enterprises Administration at the University Montesquieu Bordeaux IV, France, as well as a Master's in Enterprises Administration from the University of Poitiers, France. Dr. Ding is the author of multiple books on financial reporting and his research appears in leading academic journals.

Catherine Duggan

Director (Dean) | Graduate School of Business | University of Cape Town

Catherine Duggan is Director (Dean) of the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business (UCT GSB). Her research examines the political economy of development in Africa, where she has done work in two dozen countries over more than twenty years. Prior to joining the UCT GSB, she was Vice Dean at the African Leadership University School of Business – a new business school in Rwanda – and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. She served on the Harvard Business School faculty for nearly a decade and won several teaching awards, becoming the first woman in the school’s history to win the Faculty Award for Outstanding Teaching in the Required Curriculum two years in a row. She earned a Ph.D. from Stanford University and a B.A. with honors from Brown University, both in Political Science.

Curtis Alan Ferguson 

Managing Partner | Ventech China

Curtis Alan Ferguson is Managing Partner of Ventech China, leading investment in Consumer Markets. A former 38-year veteran of The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC), Curt served a wide range of executive positions in the USA and several ASEAN countries, including President of The Coca-Cola Greater China, Korea & Mongolia Business Unit. Curt currently serves as Vice-Chairman of The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. He is a Senior Corporate Advisor to BAO Steel and serves as Chairman of Dmall – a Hong Kong-listed E-retailer. Curt has been actively involved in education, starting from being the Chairman of Cairo American College and serving on the Board of the Bilateral Fulbright Commission. He is active at his alma mater – Indiana University, serving on The Kelley School Dean’s Advisory Council since 2005. He also serves on the Indiana University Foundation Board and was recently awarded the Indiana University Distinguished Alumni Service Award recognizing Indiana’s top alumni accomplishments in their field of endeavor. Curt holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University Kelley School and is a graduate of the Executive Development Programs at Stanford University and the Wharton School.

Joy Jones

CEO | Graduate Management Admission Council

Joy Jones is a transformational leader with expertise in leveraging new technologies to create innovative solutions for global markets. Joy became CEO at Graduate Management Admission Council in 2022, after five years growing and diversifying GMAC’s portfolio of GME preparation and assessment solutions as chief product officer and general manager of assessments. Prior to joining GMAC, Joy was VP, Products at Associated Press (AP), overseeing product portfolio and distribution platform management across the company’s multimedia content licensing, advertising, and content service businesses. She also previously worked at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young as an executive with the Strategic Advisory Services and Telecom Media Networks consulting practices. Joy earned her MBA at Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and applied sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), with honors.

Sanjiv Kapur

Independent Consultant

Sanjiv Kapur has over 35 years of senior executive, banking and investment experience across global markets in six continents. He has served both as an Executive and non-Executive Board member of public and private companies and investment funds. Sanjiv has also established several start-up operations and international joint venture alliances. He was formerly Managing Director at Wolfensohn Fund Management and previously, a Senior Partner at Henderson Private Capital after serving as Chief Investment Officer at AMP Capital and Head, Private Equity at the IFC (World Bank). He has been a frequent speaker at international investment and economic development conferences. Sanjiv has a B.A.(Hons.) in Economics from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi, India and an MBA in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Graduate Management. Sanjiv has been awarded the Corporate Director Certificate from Harvard Business School and has also completed the Directors’ Consortium Program at Stanford Graduate School of Businesss.

Jay Nibbe

Global Vice Chair – Markets | EY

Jay Nibbe is the Global Vice Chair – Markets and a member of the EY Global Executive. He oversees all accounts across all EY service lines, sectors and geographies. As part of this role he is responsible for leading Global Industry, Global Solutions, Alliance Partnerships, Managed Services, Business Development and the EY global alumni programs. Nibbe joined EY in 1985 and became a partner in 1994. Before taking his current role, he was EY Global Vice Chair - Tax, where he was responsible for all aspects of tax strategy and operations representing combined annual revenues of approximately $9b and more than 50,000 people. Nibbe also oversees the Institute of Emerging Markets Studies for EY. He was previously a Board Member at the Minnesota State University Moorhead Alumni Foundation (from 2007 to 2009). He has an Accounting and Finance degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a master's degree in business taxation from the University of Minnesota.

François Ortalo-Magné

Dean | London Business School

François Ortalo-Magné is the ninth Dean of London Business School, a position he has held since August 2017. As Chief Executive Officer of the School, he is implementing a plan to fulfil a vision of LBS as an engaged community walking the learning journey together. Prior to his appointment, Ortalo-Magné was the Albert O. Nicholas Dean and Robert E. Wangard Professor of Real Estate at the Wisconsin School of Business. His research on the economics of land and housing markets has been published in leading academic journals and he has advised private, governmental and multilateral organisations around the world. He trained as an agricultural engineer and holds a PhD in Economics. His first academic appointment was at the London School of Economics.

Giuseppe Soda

Professor of Organization Theory and Design and Network Analysis | Bocconi University

Giuseppe “beppe” Soda is the Professor of Organization Theory and Design and Network Analysis at the Department of Management and Technology of Bocconi University. He has been Dean of SDA Bocconi School of Management from 2016 to 2022. Prior to his Deanship, he served as the Associate Dean for Research (2007-2013), Director of the Department of Management and Technology (2013-2016), and Head of Organization and HRM Department (2001-2006). Professor Soda has a strong academic background, and his influential research investigates the performance consequences of the dynamic interplay between organizational architectures and organizational networks. His contribution on the origins and evolution of organizational networks is considered very seminal and his work and has been published in leading academic journals. He also serves as a member of the EQUIS Accreditation Board for EFMD.  

Anthony Wilbon

Dean | School of Business | Howard University 

Dr. Anthony Wilbon is the Dean of the Howard University School of Business. Dr. Wilbon’s particular areas of research include technology strategy, technology innovation and entrepreneurship, operations management, project management, systems development life cycle, and research methodology. Prior to joining Howard University, Dr. Wilbon was a faculty member at Morgan State University’s Earl Graves School of Business and Management. He also previously served in engineering and management level positions as several organizations including the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Booz-Allen and Hamilton, Inc., American Management Systems, Inc, and Westinghouse Electric Corporation. A respected academician, Dr. Wilbon completed his BS in Electrical Engineering at Michigan State University, an MBA at Howard University School of Business, and a Ph.D. at George Washington University in Management of Science, Technology and Innovation. He is also the recipient of a Fulbright International Education Administrators Award (France).

Ana María Zermeño Padilla

Director of Academic Experience and Operations | EGADE Business School | Tecnológico de Monterrey

Ana María Zermeño Padilla is Director of Academic Experience and Operations at EGADE Business School, Tecnológico de Monterrey, and has a proven track as an academic leader at several institutions among Tec de Monterrey System like Virtual University and TecMilenio. At EGADE Business School, she oversees all student academic and life experience, administrative operations, and logistics for in-person and online students. Before her assignment, she innovated the admissions and enrollment process by implementing automatization and technification improvements. She is a member of the board for Somos El Cambio and Instituto de Formacion y Perfeccionamiento Policial de San Pedro, both academic institutions. She holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration, a Master's in Education and Education Innovation Ph.D. with Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a Master's in Business Analytics from EGADE Business School.
