Food Buying Guide Brochure

This tri-fold brochure provides information on the Food Buying Guide (FBG). The FBG is the authoritative source of food yield information for all child nutrition programs. The FBG has information to help determine:

• The right quantity of the appropriate types of food to purchase.
• The specific contribution each food makes toward the meal pattern requirements.

The FBG is used by child nutrition stakeholders, to include program operators, state agencies, and the food industry.
