6:00-6:30 LIVE Webinar presentation on the FAFSA process.

6:30-8:30 Immediate professional and free help as you need it to file the FAFSA through Live Chat. And 1-on-1 video calls with FA professionals when necessary.

To prepare for the event, please:

Create your FSA IDs for yourself and your parent at https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm

o You will need: Social Security numbers, Full Name, Dates of Birth

o Also, a valid e-mail address that you/your parent can access at the time you set up the FSA ID

Install and test the Webinar Application

o You will receive an e-mail invitation to the Webinar.

o Be sure to follow the link and installation instructions.

o If you do not receive the e-mail, please e-mail us at usclfa@mailbox.sc.edu and we will make sure you get it. You can also call 803-313-7068.

Have the following items on hand for yourself and your parents*:

Create your FSA IDs for yourself and your parent at https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm

Current bank statements

Current net value of investments:

o CDs, Stocks, Bonds

o Business or Farm (unless you it is family owned and you have less than 100 employees)

2019 year income information:

o 2019 federal income tax returns, Tax Schedules, and W-2s

o 2019 1099-R, 1099-MISC, 1099-G, 1098-T forms and other records of money received (if any)

o 2019 Child support paid out (for children not in the household)

o Other 2019 income not reported in one of these documents above

2019 year untaxed income records

o Child support received

o Housing and living allowances for members of the military or clergy (except on-base allowances)

o Veterans non-education benefits

o Worker’s compensation

o Disability benefits (except Social security disability)

o Total money receive or paid on your behalf in 2019 (unless paid by a parent who is on the FAFSA)

And, if you are not a U.S. Citizen, your alien registration card and/or Visa

Begin the FAFSA by going to: https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa
