About this event

The Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute (NMDSI), in partnership with the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), will host its inaugural multi-campus Hack for Health.

Students from MCW, Marquette University, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee are invited to participate. Workstations will be available throughout the hackathon on all three campuses.

The theme, “Obstructive Sleep Apnea and its Impact on Risk of Cancer,” will be presented to students, who will then work in multidisciplinary teams to propose solutions to the problem using datasets provided by MCW’s data warehouse. Students will also have access to medical and data science experts, with prizes being awarded to the top teams. Prizes include trophies, bragging rights, mentoring/coaching time with senior leaders, and books on AI, data science, etc.
