EF Explore America and the Dallas ISD Social Studies Department have come together to open new doors for Dallas students. Together we’ve selected three itineraries that align with the TEKS and will help bring your curriculum to a different kind of classroom. Each tour is guided by a Tour Director and groups are led by Dallas teachers (like you!). Lessons come to life as students think critically, engage civically, and connect globally, all while exploring a place they may have never imagined going before.

Centered around equity of access to travel, our partnership is focused on helping ensure that students throughout the district are learning about travel opportunities and being given resources and tools to help make travel happen.

Beyond their own personal explorations, students will dive deeper into the exact subjects they’re covering in class. The tours selected as part of our partnership align with Dallas ISD curriculum and the TEKS. Students will engage in their existing lessons like never before, and they’ll even have the opportunity to earn free high school credit.

When we say lifelong education, we’re not just talking about the students. As a Group Leader or chaperone with EF Explore America, you get to have fun exploring with wide-eyed students but you can also earn professional learning hours or graduate credit. Plus, unlock more opportunities and events as part of our added benefits for educators.

EF tours inspire learning outcomes that impact students for the rest of their lives. We’re talking confidence, empathy, cross-cultural understanding, and so much more. We believe these skills (and the travel that promotes them) are more important now than ever since students haven’t had the same opportunities to connect with others or interact with new places.

From Texas, to tour, to everything that’s next

Meet Edith, a Texas teacher who signed up as an EF Group Leader to instill her own love of travel and exploration in her students. For many of her students, this was their first big travel experience. We’re pretty sure it won’t be their last.
