Bring your own project and join us for an evening of conversation and hand crafts.  Whether you knit, crochet, cross-stitch or do another craft, we will have a space for you. Chairs and tables will be available for use.

Oyster River Community Read in collaboration with the Great Bay Rotary Club presents a special spring program: Community Connections. Join us at a historic New England location with local non-profit organizations who will be there to share more about their work and ways you can volunteer. Join cookbook author Tammy Donrow Inman as she shares recipes and stories from her cookbook.  

Tammy Donroe Inman is a trained chef, cooking instructor, and award-winning author and photographer. She sharpened her knives testing recipes for Cook's Illustrated magazine and the TV show America's Test Kitchen. A former editor for Boston magazine, she’s also written for Fine Cooking, Yankee, and The Boston Globe. Her first cookbook, Wintersweet: Seasonal Desserts to Warm the Home, received rave reviews from The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Library Journal, and Publisher’s Weekly. Her latest cookbook, New England Desserts: Classic and Creative Recipes for All Seasons, won New England Book of the Year by Readable Feast. She lives outside Boston with her family, two high-maintenance cats, and a pair of well-worn roller skates. She’s currently at work on her third cookbook.

 


Black Bear Happenings in NH

You're welcome to join us as a New Hampshire Fish and Wildlife Steward Shares information about black bears in the state. Learn about the natural history of these intriguing mammals, their habitat needs and way to avoid potentially costly conflicts. Also, hear about the amazing federal funding mechanism that supports long term research and is largely responsible for out country's abundant fish and wildlife.

Ukulele Workshop and Performance

Southern New Hampshire Ukulele Group will teach a beginner lesson followed by a short performance. One person will lead the lesson and a handful of SNHUG members will float around the room offering assistance as needed.  You can bring your own ukelele or use one provided by SNHUG.
