I ordered my sofa on 11/24/20. Due to Covid-19, ensuing supply chain shortages, and an increase of orders, the sofa arrived in August 2022. Let me start by saying that the sofa is everything anyone would want in a piece of furniture. It's well made, attractive, durable, and comfortable. It's held up well. Three stars instead of five due to customer service issues with Martha **. Along this journey to get the sofa, Martha, in my opinion, gave unrealistic and vague responses as to when the sofa would be finished and delivered. Initially, she assured me, as had Jeff **, whom she replaced, white glove service was available in my area.

Upon notification that delivery was about to occur, she said she couldn't find a white glove service provider in my area. Let me state here, I ordered furniture from other companies during this time, and white glove service was never a problem. Not having white glove service meant heavy, waist high cartons would only be delivered to my doorstep; that the cartons would have to be broken down by me and that I would have to recycle the cartons and plastic wrapped around each piece of furniture. Furthermore, Simplicity Sofas has yet to refund the $300 for the unused white glove service. It is impossible to get hold of anyone at the company. Even the Better Business Bureau couldn't reach them a few months ago.

    I ordered from them in 2019 while Jeff ran and the sofa arrived. I ordered from them in 2022 and am now 4 months beyond the initial timeline and rotate between hearing nothing back or hearing it will be shipped next week and nothing ever happens. I now consider Simplicity Sofas AKA simplicitysofas.com a fraudulent company. The new owner are just doing what they can to perpetuate the fraud beyond the credit card refund timeline. Buyer beware. I will update this if something changes.

    I originally was very concerned when my order was delayed from what I was originally told by Jeff who later retired. Then after I was finally able to connect with Martha who took over for Jeff I felt much better as she assured me my items were now being worked on. She did explain that with Covid and Supply Chain issues, things were delayed and that they were working extra to try and get product done. So now I want to share the positive part, my wife and I are so happy with our new sofa and 2 love seats that arrived... They are beautiful, comfortable and amazing. I would definitely recommend the product and hopefully the Simplicity Sofa staff can communicate any delays better to their customers.

    After many months of delay and unreturned emails and phone calls, and after the NC Consumer Protection office was unsuccessful opening communication lines, we took a trip to Highpoint NC and visited the factory unannounced. We met with Martha and when we provided our names, she was very familiar with our order and very knowledgeable about the company issues. Perhaps our surprise visit helped expedite our order since we received it within two weeks of our visit. Excellent quality, easy assembly, as advertised. The company is obviously short of staff in all departments, and that may be the cause of concern. It appears that Martha is doing what she can to fulfill orders. Communication needs immediate attention.

    Ordered sofa/chair oct 2020. Today is September, 2022. No one responses to phone calls, BBB has tried and no furniture. Is this fraud? I wonder. So far we are out $3648.00. We tried to wait because of the covid19 thing and then they just stopped talking. I tried to cancel once but we had signed an unlimited non cancel agreement. That's fine but there is no furniture 2 years later.

    I ordered $5400 of furniture (2 couches and an ottoman) in May 2021. In May of 2022, I reached out for an update and was advised the wonderful Jeff I had been working with retired. After a couple of emails and a couple of weeks later I heard back from Martha who seemed very kind and said I would receive my order in mid-June. 14 months since order placed and still waiting.

    Our experience is similar to the one posted in June. We ordered our sectional in March 2021 and told it would be delivered in December. When it didn't come we called and were told it was delayed but it would be delivered in March. Followed up again in March and were told it was in final QC and would be shipped shortly. It's July and no couch, and none of our calls or emails have been returned. At best this is the worst customer experience of my life. At worst which is more likely, we have been scammed. Please do not buy from this company.

    You know there is something wrong when the associate at the Better Business Bureau is familiar with such a small company's name. I ordered a love seat in early March. The sales person advised me that the fabric I wanted was in stock and that the item would ship in six weeks. Six weeks became twelve weeks. In mid-May, I was told that the item would ship at the end of the month, or the first week of June. That was the last time I was able to reach anyone. My phone calls are not returned. Most of the time, the voice mailbox is full. My emails have gone unanswered. I have now learned that there are multiple complaints with the BBB with the identical pattern of behavior. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT OTHERS AND I HAVE MADE.

    I ordered over $7500 worth of furniture in December of 2020. I still have not received my order. I've called and left messages looking for explanations and updates. Twice I received emails from a guy named Jeff, who told me to be patient and it would be worth the wait. There was silence for many months after that, and then one day when I reached out to him, he responded that he had retired. He said he was forwarding on my email to a Martha **.

    I didn't hear from Martha, so a week later I started calling her, thinking I was the victim of some scam, and I'd be lucky to ever reach her. A few days later she actually answered and told me my order was either done or close to being done, and it would be shipped out soon. That was almost a month ago, and I haven't heard anything, and they are again not answering.
