Vice President of the Latin America & Caribbean Region
Edouard Lassegue

Edouard was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He was raised in a Catholic home and became a Christian when he accepted Christ at age 13 when he began attending a neighborhood Bible club run by missionaries. Edouard attended Bob Jones University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Bible education in 1986. He received his master’s degree in school administration in 1987. In addition, he earned a master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University in organizational leadership in 2011.

Upon completion of his university education in 1987, Edouard returned to Haiti. He was eager to conquer the country for God, so he started a church in the same location where the missionaries had run their Bible club. Edouard is passionate about his calling to God’s ministry in addition to his work in Compassion.

Edouard has been married to his wife for over 20 years; they have three children. Their family moved to Florida in 2004, leaving behind many ministries in Haiti, which are still serving the community today.

Edouard was named vice president of the Latin America and Caribbean Region of Compassion International in January of 2007. Prior to this position, Edouard served as the country director of Haiti for nearly 11 years and was then promoted to Central America and Caribbean director.
