(And Citrix has also achieved 508 and FIPS 140-2 compliance for the 1912 version of LTSR.)

Now there’s even more with the release of Cumulative Update 1 for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 1912 LTSR, which comes with several quality fixes and security enhancements.

The best thing about this release?

You can directly upgrade to 7 1912 LTSR CU1 from 7.15 and 7.6 LTSR, with or without CUs (for platforms mentioned on the System Requirements page) or from any of the other Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops deployments listed under the “Versions you can upgrade” section on this page.

What’s New?

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 1912 LTSR Cumulative Update 1 (CU1) fixes more than 70 issues reported since the initial release of the 1912 LTSR. You can find details on these fixes in the release notes.

Changes in how to install and upgrade Citrix StoreFront

In earlier releases, when you clicked the Get Started tile in the full-product installer’s main page, the Core Components page included Citrix StoreFront. You could select StoreFront and other core components to install on the same machine.

With this release, the Core Components page no longer contains a StoreFront check box. To install or upgrade StoreFront, just click Citrix StoreFront in the Extend Deployment panel on the main page. This launches CitrixStoreFront-x64.exe from the installation media.

In the XenDesktopServerSetup.exe command, you can no longer specify /components storefront. If you do, the command fails. To install StoreFront from the command line, run CitrixStoreFront-x64.exe, which is available in the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops installation media’s x64 folder.

Key Quality Fixes and Improvements

  • In a double-hop scenario, a single user might consume two Citrix Concurrent User (CCU). Double hop is when a user launches the HDX session within another HDX session (for example, when you launch a published application within a virtual desktop session).
  • Machine Creation Services (MCS) supports the following new Citrix Hypervisor features: Guest UEFI boot and Secure Boot.
  • When you configure the browser content redirection policy in Server Fetch and Client Render mode, you route traffic only through a statically configured web proxy.
  • When you reconnect to an active session on another machine, redirected printers and client drives might be missing. The issue occurs when you move from one machine to another without locking or disconnecting the active user session.
  • Reading data from a client drive might take a long time after you change the value of the following registry key to 1 on a VDATo enable the fix, create the following registry keyHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\Wds\icawd Name: PacketIntegrityChecks Type: DWORD Value: 1
