As the founder of the Blue Wall Institute (www.BW-Institute.com) she trains, conducts need assessments, and consults with first responders, families, and agency administrators on wellness, suicide awareness and prevention, leadership issues, etc. Dr. Johnson is a veteran of the United States Air Force and former police officer. Dr. Johnson is a leading subject expert on police officer suicide and founded the National Law Enforcement Suicide Mortality Database (www.NLESMD.com) where she tracks over 50 datapoints on cases of completed suicide of law enforcement and corrections officers. Dr. Johnson previously spoke on officer wellness and resilience for the Bureau of Justice VALOR Program, was on the Advisory Board for VALOR regarding curriculum review for de-escalation training and techniques and was a lead instructor and Program Advisor for the SAFLEO Program.
