The Kid LAROI Splits With Manager Adam Leber

Leber's Rebel repped LAROI since September, when the Australian pop star left Scooter Braun's SB Projects.

The Kid LAROI is once again on the hunt for new management, Billboard has learned. A source close to the situation says Adam Leber has resigned amicably.

According to the source, the founder and CEO of management company Rebel loves LAROI, but believes it wasn’t a good fit with the Australian rapper-singer’s internal team.

Leber signed LAROI last September after the artist parted ways with his management at Scooter Braun‘s SB Projects. The artist had been managed by Braun’s SB Projects since June of that year. Prior, he was at Grade A Projects. As reported in LAROI’s Billboard cover story last October, Leber was one of five managers the artist and his team had first considered when he left Grade A.

Recently, LAROI poked fun at Braun while teasing his latest single “Thousand Miles” on TikTok. The now-viral clip featured text instructing users to “show me your last mistake. use this sound” as LAROI plugged in various photos of Braun. Braun later revealed he was in on the joke, assuring fans it was a publicity stunt to generate buzz around the growing hit. (The Billboard cover story also cited a source who said Braun had made “a promise” that he would be directly involved with LAROI, but that there wasn’t enough participation).

“Thousand Miles” currently sits at No. 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 (after debuting at No. 15). It’s the first taste of new music off LAROI’s upcoming debut full-length. Meanwhile, “Stay,” Laroi’s No. 1 hit with Braun’s client Justin Bieber, remains in the chart’s top 10 in its 43rd week on the chart.
