Kygo, Gryffin & Calum Scott Start on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart With ‘Woke Up in Love’

Kygo, Gryffin and Calum Scott combine to launch at No. 9 on Billboard‘s multi-metric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated Sept. 24) with “Woke Up in Love.” For Kygo, he achieves his record-extending 24th top 10, dating to the chart’s January 2013 inception.

“Woke” also gives Gryffin his first top 10, in his 30th chart appearance. (Only R3HAB, with 36 appearances, has scored more chart hits without yet earning a top 10.) “Woke” is the second top 10 for singer Scott.

The collab collected 2.1 million U.S. streams and sold 800 downloads in its first week (Sept. 9-15), according to Luminate. Concurrently, “Woke” enters Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales (No. 8) and Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs (No. 20).

Continuing on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, David Guetta and Bebe Rexha earn top Streaming Gainer honors with “I’m Good (Blue).” The song pushes 5-3 with 9.2 million official U.S. streams, up 22%. It also hits No. 1 on the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart, giving both the DJ/producer and singer their second leader each – and second shared No. 1: “Hey Mama,” credited to Guetta featuring Nicki Minaj, Rexha and Afrojack, reigned for 11 weeks in 2015.

“Good,” which interpolates Eiffel 65’s “Blue (Da Ba Dee),” a No. 6 Billboard Hot 100 hit in 2000, also sold 8,000 in the tracking week and likewise rises to No. 1 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart. It’s Guetta’s seventh leader and Rexha’s third, sums that again include “Mama” (13 weeks on top).

Shifting to the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, Elton John and Britney Spears surge into the top 10 with “Hold Me Closer” (11-7). John’s second top 10 is also Spears’ 14th, the fourth-most among female acts since the chart began in August 2003, after Rihanna (24), Katy Perry (16) and Ariana Grande (15). (Guetta leads all acts with 33 top 10s.)

“Closer” is collecting core-dance airplay on Channel Q, iHeartRadio’s Pride Radio and Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel, among other stations. (The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on around 70 top 40-formatted reporters.)

Additionally on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, DJ/producer Joel Corry culls his eighth top 10 and vocalist Becky Hill adds her sixth with “History” (13-8). Corry ties Guetta for the most 10s dating to the former’s first week in the region (Oct. 5, 2019) with “Sorry.”

Further on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, MEDUZA notches its fifth top 10 and James Carter collects his first with “Bad Memories,” featuring fellow acts new to the top 10 Elley Duhe and FAST BOY.
