Doja Cat (real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini) was born in Tarzan, a suburb of Los Angeles. Her birthday is Oct. 21, 1995, and her height is 5'3". She started making music as a teen, releasing it on SoundCloud. After she posted her song "So High," she caught Dr. Luke's attention, and he signed the then 17-year-old to Kemosabe in 2013. She released EP 'Purrr!' in 2014, and her debut studio album 'Amala' in 2018, which reached No. 138 on the Billboard 200. The second single from the set, "Candy," cracked the Hot 100, peaking at No. 86. Sophomore album 'Hot Pink' peaked at No. 9 and delivered her first No. 1 song, "Say So" featuring Nicki Minaj. Third studio album 'Planet Her' reached a high of No. 2, and generated hits "Kiss Me More" with SZA (No. 3), which also won the Grammy for best pop duo/group performance; "You Right" with The Weeknd (No. 11); "Need to Know" (No. 8); "Woman" (No. 7) and "Get Into It (Yuh)" (No. 20). She has also collaborated with Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, Post Malone and others. Doja Cat was honored with Billboard's Powerhouse Award at the 2022 Women in Music event.
