Volunteer

WANT TO VOLUNTEER? Please complete this form

In order to help ensure individuals who are more at risk of developing serious complications from Covid-19 can still meet their basic needs, Berkeley Mutual Aid is offering a matching service between individuals who are higher-risk and those who are lower-risk. For the purposes of this form, individuals who are considered higher risk include those who are 65 years of age or older and/or have underlying health conditions and/or are immunocompromised, as outlined by the CDC

Once a match is made you and your COVID-19 Match can coordinate the delivery of essential supplies, like food, toiletries, and prescriptions. You and your match can also help one another feel less isolated by checking-in on the phone or by other electronic means. Please follow all directions provided by the CDC to mitigate community spread.

Note: Only individuals who are at lower risk of developing serious complications from COVID-19, as outlined by the CDC, can complete volunteer tasks that requires leaving social isolation.

Other Ways to Help in the East Bay

It has been wonderful to see how many individuals are taking this opportunity to come together and support their neighbors. We currently have far more individuals offering assistance than ones requesting assistance, and may not have a match for everyone immediately. But there are still ways you can help! Click here for a list of nonprofits and community organizations in your area that are looking for volunteers to help ensure all East Bay residents have their basic needs met in this time of crisis. If you know of other non-profits in the East Bay who are looking for volunteers, please email us at berkeleymutualaid@gmail.com so we can add them to the list.
