Let's celebrate creativity, diversity, and our colorful world! Join us as we kickoff our annual Summer Reading Adventure for all ages! There will be crafts, music, and more fun for the whole fam!
Enjoy the colorful sounds of tropical steel drums, live in the Parker Garden! Drop in on Smarty Pants the balloon twister as he creates magical rainbow creations and entertains the crowd! Visit with representatives from local organizations who support literacy in Aurora and throughout the world, and get creative with crafts for the whole family.
The Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry and Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry will be collecting non-perishable food donations for the duration of this event.
Sign up on-site starting at 10:30 a.m. to participate in our short Color Run at 11:30 for all ages! Participants get to run around Santori and get splattered with color as they celebrate summer reading.
Ever heard of the Nintendo Game Splatoon? You can play in the APLD equivalent, Color Splat! Use water balloons to splat color everywhere and compete against like-minded splatters! (Warning: You might get wet! While all colors are washable and non-toxic, consider bringing a change of clothes if you are uncomfortable being wet)
