Wisconsin Humanities debuted its Youth Powered for Unity curriculum at the Youth Unity Summit, where more than 300 students from nearly 20 high schools across Wisconsin gathered to prevent hate-motivated violence in Wisconsin schools and communities.

Opportunity Grants!

Our grant program is singular in Wisconsin and responds to local needs for funding. We make concerted efforts to reach underserved communities and support the specific ideas that come from locally-grounded organizations. Our new Opportunity Grants invite nonprofits in underserved and rural communities to apply.

When you receive a WH grant, you become part of a vibrant statewide network of communities like yours, working together to address critical issues.

Say Hello To These Community Change Agents!

Community Powered is glad to welcome our first class of Wisconsin Humanities Fellows who will be trained in Community Powered methods. They will spend the first six months of the year-long fellowship program learning humanities tools and then spend the last six months building resilience in their respective communities. We are so excited to have them join us this year!

Meet the fellows from Northern Wisconsin on our Community Powered website!

It was actually canceled by Amtrak in 2015 due to budget cuts, but that didn't stop railway fans, museums, and ...organizations from continuing to host incredible events to celebrate, educate, and engage folks with railroad history.

Learn about Spooner's railroad history by reading Tim's Love WI story (Link in our Bio) and check out some of the railroad events happening across Wisconsin this weekend:

Superior: National Train Day Celebration @LakeSuperiorRailroadMuseum
