Join an amazing team and learn hands-on experience within Learning &amp; Development! Bring your ideas and collaboration skills to add value to the team and organization. The role is part-time (20 hours) per week and will begin in Spring semester 2022!</strong></p> <p><strong>Overview</strong></p> <p>The Instructional Design Intern will have an opportunity to gain hands-on adult learning experience and develop corporate training material that will directly impact the Brookfield Multifamily business. This internship will provide an entry-level professional real-world learning opportunities to help build future careers.</p> <p>Through this experience candidates will gain professional work experience by working on meaningful business projects in a positive, collaborative environment. Learn about the industry from all levels of management and have potential opportunity for full-time employment upon graduation.</p>
Responsibilities: Content Development (80%): <ul><li>Help to create and edit training content, which may include user guides and training manuals</li><li>Work with Learning team and Subject Matter Experts to develop content aligned with instructional design best practices.</li><li>Work as part of a team to develop and in class, online, or blended learning solutions</li><li>Review current training materials and assessments and recommend opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Knowledge of instructional design and delivery, adult learning theories, and training evaluation.</li></ul>Project Participation (20%):<ul><li>Excellent attention to detail, communication, writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills.</li><li>Able to work collaboratively and independently.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple short-term projects simultaneously.</li></ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>This position requires a High School Diploma / GED.</li> <li>This position prefers that the individual is enrolled in a degree field, pursuing or possesses a bachelor&rsquo;s degree or master's degree relevant to or within the field of study towards the internship in training, instructional design, or a related field.</li> <li>&lt;1 year of required experience in knowledge of tools used to develop graphics and other media assets (Fireworks, Freehand, Photoshop Adobe Premiere, etc.).</li> <li>&lt;1 year of preferred experience in using the following tools preferred: Storyline, Articulate 360, Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, LMS system.</li> <li>Required skills for this position include: a willingness to learn, interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication, and Microsoft Office including written and verbal communication.</li> <li>Preferred skills for this position include: prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.</li> </ul>
